While riding to a job, Bronco is shot in the back twice by the two Morgan boys because they think he is headed to a nearby convent. The convent ranch hand Jake finds Bronco so he takes him to the convent where the nuns tend to his wounds. He makes a rapid recover under their care. Unknown to him, they hope to convince him to stay to work for them on their cattle ranch.
