Girl has skills

Dennis Patrick as a Ned Buntline type writer of penny dreadful novels of the old west and Julie Harris as a shy dressmaker whom he spread the reputation highlight this Big Valley story.

Truth be told it was Peter Breck who got a rumor started about Harris who came to Stockton a couple of years back, lives quietly as a dressmaker and is very shy. He tells one of the gullible Barkley hands Timothy Scott that Harris is a notorious outlaw woman from Kansas who knows where there's considerable loot stashed from a gang she used to run with.

Truth also be told Harris rides like one of the Barkley cowhands and is a dead shot with a rifle. That raises questions but it sure comes in handy when some other outlaw types buy into that rumor.

Harris as always is good, I've never seen her bad in anything. She'd be handy to have around in a fight, she has skills.
