When Annie Escale, fiancée of notorious French gangster Jacques Tabouis, turns up on Jersey, Jim determines to follow her in the hopes that she will lead him to Tabouis, but the man whom she meets in the night club and is found dead after giving Jim the slip is somebody completely different. At the same time Jim is not happy that Francine, for some time his live-in girlfriend, is spending so much time with a charming Canadian photographer whom she met on the ferry - and he has every right, for this man is not who he claims to be.Written by

While escorting a prisoner over from England on the ferry. Francine who accompanied Bergerac has her head turned by a French Canadian photographer who compares her smile to the Mona Lisa. I think he mistook enigmatic to a plank of wood.
The Jersey police have been notified by the French police that Annie Escale, girlfriend of notorious French gangster Jacques Tabouis is on the island.
Bergerac and the Jersey CID which happens to be one other person follow her but she gives them a slip. A taxi driver always shows up and she has a rendezvous with the French Canadian photographer in Charlie Hungerford's yacht.
International actress Greta Scacchi made her television acting debut and she certainly is sultry. I think the producers realised that Francine needed to be written out, the actress looked pretty but that was as far as it went.
The episode suffers from too many scenes of Annie being tailed in Jersey. By the time there is some action and a twist, it is all a bit too late.
