Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Features A Big Rebels Crossover

After six years, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is finally getting a seventh and final season on Disney Plus. This is a huge treat for fans, as we never thought there was more coming of the show, due to the team who made it moving on to Star Wars Rebels since it ended. But now that there’s another run of the animated series, it looks like they could be capitalizing on the gap and dropping in some major connections to Rebels.

A new trailer for season 7 debuted today, and fans immediately set about analyzing the heck out of it. Which resulted in the uncovering of what’s potentially a major retcon of Revenge of the Sith. Besides that, though, there’s also what appears to be a shocking crossover with Rebels, as a younger version of a character we all know well can be glimpsed in the promo: Caleb Dume Aka Kanan Jarrus.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Gets A Gorgeous New Poster

Today, Lucasfilm dropped another trailer for the upcoming seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with an exact release date also being revealed. Last but not least, this epic new poster for the run has debuted, too, which puts Ahsoka Tano front and center.

The former Jedi Padawan’s popularity has exploded in the years since she was first introduced to viewers in the Clone Wars movie. She’s become arguably the most beloved Star Wars character to have debuted outside of the films, something which earned her a vocal cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, as one of the many past Jedi speaking to Rey during its big climax. Given all this growth, it’s only right that she be positioned slap-bang in the middle of this poster.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Has A Big Revenge Of The Sith Retcon

A new trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 arrived today, teasing what’s to come in the much-anticipated final run of the animated series that’s due on Disney Plus next month. It looks to be doing more of what the show does best, too, plugging the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith by enriching the story and fleshing out the characters. The only problem is, one clip in the preview doesn’t add up with the events of Episode III.

At the 1:28 mark, the action pauses to witness a brief moment of tenderness between Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. The pair are conversing via Holoprojector, with a touching shot seeing Anakin reaching out to Padme’s holographic hand. But if you pay attention to Padme’s other hand in this scene, you’ll notice it’s placed on her very visible baby bump.

‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Trailer Shows Epic Finale on Disney Plus
Nearly 10 years and three networks later, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” is finally getting its last season.

Disney Plus will premiere the seventh and final season of the animated series on Feb. 21, likely releasing the 12 episodes weekly, similar to what the new streaming service did for “The Mandalorian.”

It’s been six years since “Star Wars” fans last saw animated Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano, and the final season will pick up where the previous one left off. The young padawan Ahsoka has become disillusioned with the Jedi Order and appears to walk away from her former lifestyle and friends. There’s danger in the air as the series inches closer to the devastating Order 66, the organized Jedi massacre seen in “Revenge of the Sith.”

“Great care, we must take,” says Jedi master Yoda in the trailer.

To make matters worse, Darth Maul is also back. Introduced in “The Phantom Menace,

It expanded the mythology and provided Star Wars fans some of the best storylines in…

What's Coming to Disney+ in 2020 Trailer Teases New Movies and TV Shows

  • MovieWeb
Disney+ kicked off in November of last year, and has already provided the world with one big substantial hit series in The Mandalorian. It was the first live-action Star Wars TV show, and turned Baby Yoda into a phenomenon. The streaming app will continue its legacy in 2020 with a number of original series and movies coming direct to the service over the course of the next twelve months. There are two all-new Marvel live-action series lined-up, new episodes of Clone Wars, and we will see the hugely anticipated return of Hilary Duff as Lizzie McGuire. This was all revealed in a new trailer for Disney+'s 2020 lineup.

Perhaps the biggest news to be revealed in this Disney+ 2020 movies and TV preview is the fact that one of the first Marvel live-action series is coming our way this year, with WandaVision arriving earlier than its previously announced spring 2021 release date.

The Correct Viewing Order For Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Based on what we’re hearing from Disney, the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, now on Disney Plus, will be with us on February 17th, 2020. One of the more challenging aspects of the animated series, though, is that you won’t get a chronological experience by just following the released episode order. Thankfully, then, we now have a correct viewing order courtesy of the official Star Wars site, which tells us all you need to know to catch up on The Clone Wars before its return.

The Clone Wars bridges the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, providing a significant level of detail for anyone wondering what was going on in between the two prequel movies. When aired, episodes could often be bundled together as arcs, linked by one-off episodes that might explore a different part of the galaxy adjacent
