As Much as We Want Thomas Gibson Back on Criminal Minds' Last Season, It's Unlikely
In a perfect world, all of our favorite characters from Criminal Minds would be reunited for one last hurrah in its 15th and final season. After all, the show is ending - don't we deserve to say goodbye to everyone who made it so awesome? It does sound as though executive producer Erica Messer is doing everything in her power to make her dreams come true. In a January 2019 interview with Deadline, Messer spoke about the possibility of including old favorites in the final season, saying, "I am very hopeful that we can honor all of those characters who have been beloved and with this team, with the audience for years." Lucy in the Sky Trailer #2: Natalie Portman Is an Unhinged Astronaut

  • MovieWeb
Fox Searchlight has released another trailer for Noah Hawley's directorial feature film debut, Lucy in the Sky. Hawley is bringing his surreal style to the big screen with the future Mighty Thor at the forefront in leading lady Natalie Portman.

Lucy in the Sky follows Natalie Portman as Lucy Cola, a strong woman whose determination and drive as an astronaut take her to space where she's deeply moved by the transcendent experience of seeing her life from afar. Back home as lucy's world suddenly feels too small, her connection with reality slowly unravels.

The new trailer encapsulates this "transcendent experience" with Lucy floating peacefully above the earth insisting on "just a few more minutes," because she can see "her life." Stylized images flash across the screen as we get a greater sense of her struggle. She appears to feel separate from the events she lives, and as the trailer continues,

Hasbro’s Brian Goldner Talks Peppa Pig, EOne Deal And State Of Paramount Slate

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner told investors Thursday that the company’s $4 billion acquisition of Peppa Pig owner Entertainment One will only augment a long-cultivated relationship with Paramount Pictures.

Goldner has steered the toymaker and licensing giant through a strategic shift toward Hollywood that has yielded major film and streaming deals as the entertainment business craves pre-sold brands. Hasbro Studios has made movies for Universal (Ouija) but delivered multiple installments of Transformers and G.I. Joe at Paramount. In 2017, the companies re-upped their production and distribution deal through 2022.

Hasbro Studios also has taken advantage of the streaming boom, signing exclusive kids programming and merchandise deals with Netflix. Success on the entertainment front is one reason Hasbro stock has more than tripled in value during the past decade.

As for the Paramount deal? In a conference call with investors Thursday, Goldner said relations with the studio are “fantastic.” He described the all-cash acquisition

‘Criminal Minds’ Star A.J. Cook Wins Court Ruling Against Ex-Lawyers Over Fees

‘Criminal Minds’ Star A.J. Cook Wins Court Ruling Against Ex-Lawyers Over Fees
A judge ruled in favor of “Criminal Minds” star A.J. Cook on Monday is her dispute with her former attorneys, who said they were entitled to 5 percent of her payments from the hit CBS drama.

Cook argued that attorney Neil Meyer and his firm, Meyer & Downs, raised their fee from 2.5 percent per episode of “Criminal Minds” to 5 percent without her agreement, and that her then-manager, David Guillod, arranged for the increased payments to be made to Meyer & Downs without her consent.

She left Guillod in 2017 when he was accused of sexually assaulting four women — accusations he denies. She then stopped paying both the lawyers and Guillod’s former management company, Primary Wave.

Meyer & Downs sued, saying the firm was owed fees because of a verbal contract. Cook’s attorney, Michael Saltz, argued that an oral contract wasn’t enforceable for contingency fees. (A contingency fee is a fee that
