Fantastic

I saw this short at a festival in Perth. It was obvious from the start that it was different from the other films. Taking a very serious story, McCann, who wrote and directed, does a great job of keeping us guessing and involved throughout. Performances by Kalinowski and Young are especially good. After getting the chance to talk with the writer/director, and hearing the 24-hour hell that was the shoot, I was amazed. How he managed to keep this project alive (and do such wonderful things with it) was beyond me. I'm sure he will follow this one with something equally impressive.

Very promising.
