Trivia

The scene when the woman's car falls in the water is taken from the episode "If Looks Could Kill." This is quite obvious because it has the same blue bag in the back that was the dead body in that episode. See more »

Goofs

Hobie introduces himself to Lauren twice. The first time is when she joins the guards, the second time is after she gives her reasons for wanting to be a lifeguard. See more »

Pretty Good One in the BW Golden Era
9 February 2019 | by TheFearmakersSee all my reviews

Pretty good episode mixing soap operatic elements like Hobie falling for a cute girl who is dying, part of a lifeguard school on the same beach where Summer first starts dating Matt and Summer's mom dates Mitch. Another episode that has Summer in the main b-story and no C.J. at all. These two obviously had issues with each other. One action scene where a Mercedes Benz somehow flies from the freeway into the ocean while Mitch does like Superman and saves her is actually pretty suspenseful.
