Storyline

The plot revolves around Fatima, who is troubled by a vision of a mysterious person since her childhood. After 22 years of psychological problems, she wants to confront the vision. The film follows her search for answers where she discovers a connection between the A'ali burial mounds and the haunting vision. It is among the ominous burial mounds that the plot unfolds, and by chance brings about a meeting of Fatima and her ex-husband with the other main characters of the film. They are rebellious teenagers Khalid and Amin, who are involved in drugs, and Khalid's older brother Ahmed, who is trying to stop them throwing their lives away. This is not just a thriller, but a story of a group of individuals finding themselves in a dark situation with a mysterious presence that is trying to make them confront their problems. Bravo Sam!
7 February 2004 | by yfooladSee all my reviews

Bassam `Sam' Al-Thawadi's Visitor comes after more than a decade of his Al-Hajez or The Barrier, and Bahrain's, first feature film. He looks more mature in the latest thanks to the prolonged experience with the video and film industry. The man had his finger in most pies he can reach and `Boy he learns so fast!'. And when the time came he was ready to blowup not just his DV film to 35mm format but he projected on the screen his whole generation's dream. His film comes simply as an answer to the question of whether to keep projects in the drawers or to go out and show the others how to make a movie out of nowhere!
