College Admissions Scandal Getting the Lifetime Movie Treatment

College Admissions Scandal Getting the Lifetime Movie Treatment
There’s a new Lori Loughlin movie coming to Lifetime. Sort of. The network has greenlit a two-hour project, tentatively titled College Admissions Scandal, which will chronicle the true-life story of how “over 50 privileged and elite individuals from across the country were exposed for criminally conspiring to influence the undergraduate admissions decisions at some of America’s top schools.”

The scandal, which first made headlines in March, involved multiple celebrity parents, including Loughlin (Fuller House) and Felicity Huffman (American Crime), though neither are mentioned directly in Lifetime’s official synopsis:

Jason Bateman Sets Untitled Feature To Direct For Netflix
Exclusive: Jason Bateman has set a deal with Netflix to direct an untitled action comedy script by Game Night and Accepted screenwriter Mark Perez. Bateman will produce with Michael Costigan through their Aggregate Films banner, teaming with Jeff Kirschenbaum and Joe Roth. Casting is underway but Bateman will not star in it.

Aggregate became one of several Netflix talent deals that range from Shonda Rhimes and Ryan Murphy on the TV side, to Adam Sandler, Ian Bryce, Matt Reeves, and Bryan Unkeless and Eric Newman.

The goal was to give Bateman and Costigan a home to generate film and TV. They aren’t saying anything specific about the new film, but the deal is done and it is on a fast track.

Game Night Movie Review | Let’s Play

Well, I have to tell you that unless you are some kind of a die-hard snob, you will probably find Game Night (2018) far more entertaining than the average board game. Moreover, it is the perfect alternative if you want to persuade your friends to do something different on Saturday night. And if you happen to be a game buff, then this smart crime-thriller-comedy-mystery mash-up is right for you.

In a recent Q&A session on Reddit, the directors of Game Night (who by the way are huge fans of the board games) admitted that they make movies based on their own taste. In other words, they create films that they would love to watch themselves. They like to make the most fun out of this whole filmmaking thing. This is just one of the reasons Game Night turned out to be a huge success in the box-office.

New ‘Game Night’ Trailer Showcases a Crazy, Wild, and Scary Adventure

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for their upcoming action/comedy ‘Game Night’, and it surely delivers–at least from a comedic perspective. We’ve seen a good look at the film in it’s previous trailer, but this trailer not only ratchets ups the comedy, but also the tension as we see stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams get caught up into shenanigans, forcing them into the expected comedic situations.

What makes this trailer so noteworthy is that it is the latest film from newly tapped ‘Flashpoint‘ directors John Francis Daleyand Jonathan Goldstein. Although the duo’s comedy instinct was showcased in the less-than stellar ‘Vacation’ reboot, their knack for comedy with a heart manifested itself wonderfully in their screenplay for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming‘. This film, however was scripted by Mark Perez (Accepted) and in addition to McAdams and Bateman, the film stars Kyle Chandler, Lamorne Morris, Jesse Plemons,

A Night of Fun Takes a Amusingly Deadly Turn in New Trailer For Game Night

Another funny trailer has been released for the great looking dark comedy Game Night, which stars Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler and Michael C. Hall. The story features a group of friends getting together for a little murder mystery game night that takes a deadly turn when the host is actually kidnapped. This takes the group of friends on a wild adventure to try and rescue him. I'm really hoping that this movie brings on the laughs. The latest trailer is packed full of new footage that I think you'll all enjhoy.

The film was co-directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Vacation) from a script written by Mark Perez (Accepted) and this is the synopsis:

Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max’s charismatic brother, Brooks (Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with

Watch the new Game Night trailer below.

Hilarious Trailer For The Murder Mystery Party Comedy Game Night with Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams

This first trailer for the new comedy Game Night had me busting up laughing! I loved what I saw in this trailer and this actually looks like it could be a hilarious movie. The film has a solid cast that includes Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler and Michael C. Hall. The film is a dark comedy that tells the story of a bunch of friends who get together for a fun interactive murder mystery party that ends up horribly wrong in the funniest of ways.

The film was co-directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Vacation) from a script written by Mark Perez (Accepted) and this is the synopsis:

Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max’s charismatic brother, Brooks (Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and faux federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped,

Dances With Films 2017 Review Round-Up: Devil’S Whisper, Inheritance, Imitation Girl, Central Park

The month of June has been flying by quicker than I can even believe, as we’re already a week out from the end of the 2017 Dances With Films festival, which took over the historic Chinese Theater in Los Angeles earlier this month. During Dwf, I had the opportunity to catch several intriguing genre films, including Devil’s Whisper, Inheritance, Imitation Girl, and Central Park, and here’s a summary of my thoughts on these four flicks:

Devil’s Whisper: There are a few aspects that I enjoyed about Devil’s Whisper, but unfortunately in the end, a somewhat predictable conclusion coupled with some hokey dialogue ends up derailing the supernatural story from becoming anything beyond “it’s fine.”

Co-writer/director Adam Ripp admirably takes the road left traveled in Devil’s Whisper (especially in relation to other recent possession-related movies), as we follow a teenager named Alex (Luca Oriel
