Twenty-two year old Steve is on top of the world. He has just graduated college, he has a beautiful girlfriend, Jane, and a publisher has picked up his first novel. Steve's best friend, Sean, on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky. A car crash has cut short his promising baseball career, and with his dream of playing in the Major Leagues destroyed, Sean turns to alcohol. His shiftlessness and his drinking have begun to jeopardize his relationship with his sultry girlfriend, Tracy, with whom Steve is secretly infatuated. Seduction strikes Steve and Tracy, and Steve and Sean's lives may never be the same again.Written by

This is so typical of you. So tell me, how many slut girls did you sleep with? You can't be a man and act like an adult?
Well, maybe if you acted like a adult instead of the bitch you are...
You know what? You're a washed up loser!

I had the chance to see Never Among Friends at Penn State in Erie, Pennsylvania in December of 2004. I must say it was an amazing production. For the amount of money they put into the production, you can tell that everyone was deeply involved with making a great film. It is rare to see such an amazing display of talent in all areas. Sure the film was shot on BetaSP which is a professional video format not as good as film, but it was better than most of the indie films and some of the major motion pictures released nowadays. It would be nice if Jason Allentoff and his production team got some more notice for this flick.
I must say I enjoyed every aspect of the production from the story to the acting. From the way it was shot to the way the story flowed. It was great. The music was also very enjoyable.
I can't wait to buy a copy of this flick. Write to Hollywood and lobby for NEVER AMONG FRIENDS to get a DVD release!
