‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot Still In The Works Despite Ominous Message From Star Hilary Duff
We’re getting one step closer each and every day to Disney+’s Lizzie McGuire reboot…or are we?

Hilary Duff took to Instagram yesterday with a cryptic message to her fans following the news of the streamer’s Love, Simon spinoff Love, Victor moving to Hulu because of its less-than-family-friendly subject matter.

“Sounds familiar,” Duff wrote. (See the screenshot of her Instagram Story below.)

Back in January, it was announced that creator Terri Minsky would be stepping down as showrunner of the sequel series due to creative differences. Based on Duff’s message, perhaps “adult themes” were to blame for the hold up.

Fans of the popular 2000s series shouldn’t worry too much, however. According to sources at Disney+, there’s been no change in the series’ status, and it is still being redeveloped.

Here’s hoping they can figure it out on the way.

8 Old School Disney Channel Shows That Deserve a Reboot

Many of us grew up with TV shows on Disney Channel, planning our Friday nights around the premiere of every single new Disney Channel Original Movie. We laughed, we cried and we prayed that our secret twin sibling would show up out of nowhere, while simultaneously finding out that our mother was born a leprechaun.

The last few years have given all Disney Channel kids hope with the return of That’s So Raven and Boy Meets World via their respective spinoffs, Raven’s Home and Girl Meets World. (Adult Shawn Hunter, anyone?) If you love baby Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sanderson sisters as much as the rest of the world, you probably jumped for joy when a Hocus Pocus remake was announced. • DailyDead
[To get you into the spooky spirit, the Daily Dead team is spotlighting double features that we think would be fun to watch this Halloween season. Check here for more double feature recommendations and other Halloween 2017 coverage.]

There’s nothing quite like an outside threat to bring a family together, especially when that threat is of the undead variety. Siblings may not always get along, but when your sister’s soul is sought by a coven of witches, or when your mom is eyed as an eternal bride by a coffin-dwelling creep, it’s time to take those Sister Sledge lyrics to heart and become a family that can overcome anything—including wicked spells and sharp fangs. Set on respective fateful nights where the future of a homestead hangs in the balance and its up to siblings to save it, Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire and Hocus Pocus are family-friendly films that make for a great double feature during the Halloween season.

Perhaps the less-known of the two films, Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire will likely ring a nostalgic bell for

Happy 30th Birthday, Hilary Duff! See the Actress' Transformation From Lizzie McGuire to Younger
Happy, happy birthday, Hilary Duff! Today marks the actress' 30th birthday, which sparks this weird juxtaposition of emotions in us. On one hand, we can't believe she's 30—it seems like just yesterday we were watching her take over Disney as Lizzie McGuire. In fact, she started acting on Lizzie McGuire in 2001 at just 13 years old, and she's only continued her successful career ever since. From taking on the film industry in movies like A Cinderella Story and War, Inc. to penning a trilogy of novels to singing on five studio albums, Duff has...

Laguna Beach May Be Long Gone, but Stephen Colletti Is Still a Total Babe

Laguna Beach May Be Long Gone, but Stephen Colletti Is Still a Total Babe
I had a laundry list of onscreen crushes growing up - Ethan Craft from Lizzie McGuire, Zack from The Suite Life of Zack of Cody, and Drake Bell from Drake and Josh, to name a few - but they all paled in comparison to the dreamboat that is Stephen Colletti. Every time I heard Hilary Duff belt out "Come Clean" during the intro of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, I knew I was in for 30 minutes of straight-up drooling while watching Stephen endure his drama-packed relationship with Kristin Cavallari. Stephen may have moved on from his MTV days, but he sure as hell hasn't lost those charming good looks that made him the heartthrob of every teenage girl's dreams. Stephen is like a fine wine - he only gets better with age, and the photos below most certainly prove that. All in favor of a modern-day Laguna Beach reboot,
