Outlaw frame-up !
4 August 2006 | by revdrcacSee all my reviews

Johnny Mack Brown stars in this aptly titled 1950 western, with a familiar plot but interesting characters. The former gridiron star sets out to clear the name of a friend who is being framed for illegal activities.

Brown's earlier films were some of his best, but this one was surprisingly well done. The lovely Gail Davis appears here in another fine supporting role. This movie holds the viewers interest throughout, with only a few slow spots.

Action, decent acting and good pacing add up to a pretty fair oater. Fans of the era will find this one a good example of a standard programmer.
