Trivia

Malcolm Reed was named for a minor character in C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower books, which were also a major inspiration for the original Star Trek (1966). Both characters were English and came from families that had generations of career Navy men, although Malcolm Reed in Enterprise was the first to join Starfleet. See more »

Goofs

Whenever the video signal is being lost, instead of pixelating, as a digital signal would, the picture shows analog "snow," which would be unheard of by that era. See more »

Quotes

[Malcolm has just awoken from a fantasy about T'Pol]
Lt. Reed: What's that?
Commander Tucker: I got the receiver working but the transmitter's a lost cause. Who's Stinky?
Lt. Reed: I beg your pardon?
Commander Tucker: You were talking in your sleep. Kept calling for some guy named Stinky.

Crazy Credits

Opening credits are in alphabetical order. Fortunately, the name of series star Scott Bakula comes earlier in the alphabet than the others, so his name is still top-billed. See more »

Alternate Versions

The Canadian cable network Space Channel uses a different version of the closing credits. While the regular closing consists of white text on a black background, the Space broadcasts fills the top half of the screen with a picture of Earth with the Enterprise logo superimposed over it, with the credits condensed onto the lower half of the screen. Cancelled too soon
15 October 2018 | by woodwardrijsewijkSee all my reviews

One of the better series. I likely particularly because it was close to home. You see it in the bare no frills ship. They were just getting started and it was cancelled.
