Unable to cope with long-term unemployment, the dejected twenty-seven-year-old tiler, Panos, takes the first train to Athens, in high hopes of creating a better future for himself. There, with rampant unemployment shrivelling up the middle class, things are far from perfect--and as Panos faces equally grave or even greater problems--a fateful encounter with the jobless nineteen-year-old, Stamatis, and the criminal delinquent, Thanasis, will lead to a friendship and an irrevocable tragedy. Now, the only way out is a lucrative heist at a vulnerable dairy factory; one that will set them up for life. However, when youth is squandered, and freedom is at stake, what good is the promise of a treasure?
