on the edge
25 June 2012 | by maggisokoloffSee all my reviews

I recently had the pleasure of watching this movie on DVD. It definitely has its moments. The really good ones, throughout, were the off-kilter camera shots and the solid delivery of some very funny lines by a cast of notable actors. The performances were spot on for their campy roles. The scene-changing music is quirky. The story about two very different hit-men, is edgy and a little berserk. A number of stabs at human nature and relationships are poignant. However, at times, the barrage of witty lines is overkill. Perhaps a silencer might have served well in taking out some of the onslaught of metaphors. This is a little movie with a big, cult appeal.
