Slow, deep, moving, profound.

Saw an old b&w Japanese subtitled film years ago about a guy who developed cancer and went on a nostalgia trip to France. THINK this is the film (Kaseki=Fossil). Twas dang long, (4hrs?!?) correct me if I'm incorrect -- but engrossing, and could have gone on for four years.
