In the early 1960s, as the bored and repressed Athenian Teddy Boys find dangerous new ways to channel their bottled-up teenage angst, Yorgos, the troubled son of a well-to-do but ruined family, struggles to make a difference, and finish school. Likewise, against the backdrop of a strict familial environment, Maria--the inexperienced daughter of an austere and rigidly puritanical classical scholar--plucks up the courage to go to great lengths to keep her relationship with Yorgos strong, and above all, secret. However, an unforeseen and life-threatening complication will bring to light the clandestine young lovers' regretful situation, leading to an unbridled head-on confrontation between teacher and student; the old and the new; morality and society. Is the deaf and inexorable law 4.000 the only solution?
