The amazing thing is that the FBI had an informant among the terrorists, but refused to pay him $500/wk for more information. They eventually had to pay $1 million and place him in the witness protection program. A story of incompetence on all sides.
No one expected a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. But many could have prevented it.

The film is best remembered for an infamous premonitory line at its conclusion said by Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, played by Art Malik
when he sees the World Trade Center for a last time and says "Next time, we will bring them both down". In 2001, the towers were one of the targets of the September 11 attacks and Yousef's uncle, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, is said to be one of the masterminds behind the attacks. See more
