Storyline

"In every generation there is a chosen one... she alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer." Buffy Summers knows this tale by heart, and no matter how hard she tries to be just a "normal girl", she can not escape from her destiny... Thankfully, she is not alone in her quest to save the world, as she has the help of her friends, the hilarious (and surprisingly quite effective) evil-fighting team called "The Scooby Gang". Together, Buffy & co. will slay their demons, survive one apocalypse after another, attend high school and college... and above all, understand that growing up can truly be Hell sometimes... literally. Trivia

There are just seven episodes in which no vampire appears. They are Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Witch (1997), Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Pack (1997), Buffy the Vampire Slayer: I, Robot... You, Jane (1997), Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Puppet Show (1997), Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Inca Mummy Girl (1997), Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Living Conditions (1999), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Fear Itself (1999). In the other ones, even when there are no vampire foes, there's always Angel, or Spike. Or both. See more »

Goofs

In nearly every episode presented in widescreen, there is crew/equipment visible and/or revealing mistakes. This is because the series was originally shot for 4:3 frame and these issues would not have been visible as the show was originally intended to be presented. As such, one should take much of the goofs reported on episodes as being conditional on applying only to the widescreen alternate version. See more »

Crazy Credits

For the three first season 6 (the first UPN season) episodes (Bargaining parts 1 and 2, and Afterlife), the ending credits had almost 3/4 parts of the screen occupied by the Buffy logo (as seen on the opening with the moon behind), and the credits appearing under it. This was later returned to the normal black screen with the credits. See more »

Alternate Versions

The DVD versions of the 2nd part of most two-part episodes omit the opening recap of the previous episodes. The US DVDs omit the recaps on all episodes. See more »

No other show compares for me
27 October 2018 | by kiwiispurrrfectSee all my reviews

I gave this show a ten because to me it is the best show I've watched. It is my absolute favourite without exception. I would suggest watching passion of the nerd videos on YouTube to see why you should watch it. This show was ahead of its time and still stands up today. The characters are great and yet flawed. It really has everything.
