After the show was canceled, the chopper was sold to a German firm and became an air ambulance. It crashed during a thunderstorm on June 9, 1992, killing all three crew members.

During filming, a Huey helicopter crashed during a maneuver in Pico Canyon in California. Reid Rondell, Jan-Michael Vincent's stunt double, was killed. A special credit at the end of the episode dedicated it to him.
