Storyline

Comedian Bill Cosby brings down the house to an audience in Ontario, Canada in a two-hour show where he pontificates on several subjects, such as drugs, drunkeness, and the follies of dentists, before launching into his primary subject matter, the hilariously pernicious antics of his family, from childbirth to college football to enduring a noisy four-year-old on a transcontinental flight to his son's bizarre hairdos to his wife's marginally restrained reaction to a childrens' squabble over the right to shower to his own father's nicknames to himself and his brother Russell. Quotes

Bill Cosby: [talking about his first child] My mother looked at it and said, "Oh, how precious." I don't know why she said it. Well, I didn't know then. I know now, because my mother put a curse on me. A long time ago, I remember when I was a child what she said, and I later found out that mothers, all mothers, put a curse on their children. They say, "I hope, when you get married, you have some children who act exactly the same way that you act." And this curse works! I mean, it started with that child! My...

Crazy Credits

The opening credits show photos of his children. Initially done in silence, later releases of the movie included a song in the background; for VHS recordings was a song called "It Was a Good Idea at the Time", while DVD releases had a song sung by Cosby himself called "Just the Slew of Us" See more »

Alternate Versions

Some video versions of the movie begin and end with the song "It Was a Good Idea At the Time." The version generally shown on television does not. Other prints of the film, such as the one that is on the DVD, begin and end with Bill Cosby singing "Just the Slew of Us," a parody of Grover Washington Jr.'s "Just the Two of us." See more »
