Storyline

On a wild and rain-swept late-November evening, somewhere at an empty stretch of road outside Ohio's merry Denton, the blissfully-affianced, prudish, and boringly innocent young pair of Brad Majors and Janet Weiss find themselves stranded on their way to visit an ex-tutor. Instead, the couple will inadvertently unearth the cross-dressing Dr Frank-N-Furter's spooky lair of inexhaustible oddities, just in time to partake in the out-of-this-world mad scientist's proud unveiling of his latest, delightfully extravagant, and most daring creation--the ultimate male and the perfect sex symbol: the flaxen-haired, Rocky Horror. But, little by little, as the effervescent transgressive force gobbles up whole the unsuspecting visitors of the night, Brad and Janet slowly begin to embrace the potent fascinations of seduction, while an idolised Rocky roams free in the mansion. Who can interrupt man's union with the absolute pleasure? Written by Nick Riganas

Trivia

The motorcyclists were the same actors that play the Transylvanians at the castle. Richard O'Brien didn't understand why, noting that the motorcyclists could have been anyone. Instead, the actors had to change costumes back and forth. See more »

Goofs

Alternate Versions

All VHS versions have a recording of "The Time Warp Part 3" instrumental that is different from the theatrical and DVD version of the song during the end credits. In the normal version the song ends with the sound of a tape slowing down. In the VHS version the song ends with a saxophone flourish. This was presumably done so that VHS consumers would not think that something was wrong with their tapes. See more »

Musical Comedy Horror
2 March 2017 | by SameirAliSee all my reviews

Movie starts with a marriage function. Hero proposes to the heroine. On their way, the car broke down. In search of a telephone, they reach a castle. There were some strange things happening there. A crazy Dr. Frank-N-Furter gives them hospitality.

One of the best musical horror comedy films. Great performance from all the cast. Not a second of lagging. The music gives excellent blending to the movie.

There are many reference to other films, especially Frankenstein.

Highly recommended.
