The closing credits of the episode "Square Triangle" play over the final scene of the episode, rather than over shots of outer space as per usual.

The opening credits of every episode include "Century 21 fashions by Sylvia Anderson". It is uncommon for such a credit to appear at the start of a TV episode (usually such credits appear at the end).

During the opening theme, the show's title "UFO" is flashed on the screen for only a fraction of a second. It appears "officially" on screen at the end of the teaser sequence.
