Storyline

"The Young Marrieds" centered around the difficulties in the lives of several newly-married couples. There were Walter and Ann Reynolds (Walter was having an affair with model Carol West); Liz and Matt Stevens (Liz's mother, Irene, interfered in their lives whenever possible); and Susan and Dan Garrett, who were desperately trying to regain custody of Susan's child, Jerry Karr, away from Lena and Roy Gilroy. The character of Walter Reynolds, played by Michael T. Mikler realizes that he is losing his vision and decides to end his life. On the final show, March 25, 1966 in his home Walter has a gun and plans on ending his life when Carol West played by Susan Seaforth Hayes tries to open the door to the Reynolds home knowing what Walter's plans are and then hears the gun go off. Carol as well as the audience do not know what happened since this was the final show. Walter was at his home at the time, not in a warehouse which has been printed incorrectly in some publications.
