Tall Story (1960)
Ray Blent: Now, in Japan, the height of passion is expressed by a kiss on the back of the neck!
Reporter Jenkins: [Visiting the team during practice] Sandy was telling me you've got a scientific approach to shooting baskets. My readers would like to hear about that.
Ray Blent: Well, uh, it's just a system... which involves a combination of the energy of the throw... to the incidence of concussion... against the backboard.
Ray Blent: [calls to another player] Don, give me that ball, will you?
Ray Blent: [Demonstrates his "scientific" approach by taking a shot at the basket... and misses]
June Ryder: I remember reading about elephants once. Did you know that elephants mate only once every seven years?
Ray Blent: [nervously] Sure... but there are some that... manage once every six years.
June Ryder: [ponders for a moment] Nymphomaniacs.
Frieda Jensen: [In their trailer, talking to Ray and June] Didn't you hear? Freddie's father had to have an operation, and we've got to leave college to run the business. Freddie's got to go to *work* - and he's only 24!
Fred Jensen: And believe it or not, I had a pretty good chance to graduate this year, too!
