Speed to Spare (1937)
- Summaries (2)
The champion race car driver Tommy Morton is the eternal rival to less-ethical speed king Larry 'Skids' Brannigan. What no one knows is that Tommy and Skids are actually brothers, separated at birth. Driven by a filial devotion that he can't explain, Tommy tries to dissuade Skids from recklessness, only to be "repaid" when Skids tries to steal away Tommy's blond girl-friend Eileen Hart.
Orphan brothers, Tommy Morton (Charles Quigley) and Larry Brannigan (Eddie Nugent), separated at birth and adopted by different families), are, years later, thrown together by their mutual love of car-racking. They are unaware that they are brothers but later, when, Larry, the more egoistical and irresponsible of the brothers, accidentally kills a fellow race-car driver and almost kills his brother during a race, is their relationship revealed.
