Storyline

A famous opera singer,Mary Holmes (Helen MacKellar), loses her voice takes to the gin bottle, and plunges herself and her son, Geoffrey (Eric Linden), , whom she blames for her impairment, into a gutter existence. To get revenge and her name in the newspapers again, she concocts a story about Geoffrey killing an oily- suave man-about-town. Complications follow before mother-love takes over.
