Bill Hader (‘Barry’) is the odds-on favorite to slay at the Emmys, unless Ted Danson or Michael Douglas bumps him off
Bill Hader (“Barry”) surprised many Emmy pundits in 2018 when he won Best Comedy Actor over the defending champ Donald Glover (“Atlanta”). But “Atlanta” didn’t air any new episodes during the 2018-2019 eligibility period, so Hader won’t have to worry about Glover this time. Does that mean Hader is a lock to win again for his role as HBO’s title hit man? Not necessarily. Glover’s gone for now, but that doesn’t mean Hader has this category all to himself.
