Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Sarah Goldberg is entering the “Barry” episode “The Audition” as her 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. This program aired May 12 and was the seventh episode of the second season for the HBO show.

In this installment, Sally (Goldberg) turns down a major TV role because she doesn’t like the subject matter of abused women killing their husbands. She is jealous of Barry (Bill Hader), who lands an audition for a lead role in a feature film. Sally can have the acting class perform her scene to get her personal story out in the public.
