Tony-winning actress and soap opera star Patricia Elliott died at her home in Manhattan Sunday following a battle with cancer, her niece Sally Fay confirmed the news to The Associated Press. She was 77. Elliott began her career on Broadway in the original production of Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music, playing Countess Charlotte Malcolm, a role that would earn her a best featured actress Tony in 1973.
