Oliver is the author of "All Memories Great & Small", published by Miwk in 2016, a celebratory guidebook to the classic BBC series, released as part of the 100th birthday celebrations for James Herriot.

Oliver works for Digital Media Services in London, creating and distributing promotional content for feature films. Prior to this he produced the special features for the DVD releases of Z Cars (1962) and Dixon of Dock Green (1955) and spent two years making features for ITV's award-winning This Morning (1988)

His debut feature film, Tanner (2007), was nominated for several Best Film awards at Film Festivals worldwide. He produced the 30 minute documentary 'Dad's Army' & Beyond: The Frank Williams Story (2008) which premiered at the BFI's prestigious National Film Theatre. He was later co-presenter of The Dad's Army Podcast (2007)

Interviewed for Episode 32 of the 'Dad's Army Podcast' in 2009 to talk about his documentary 'Dad's Army & Beyond: The Frank Williams Story'. In July 2009, Frank and Oliver were interviewed together to review the classic episode 'The Recruit'.

Oliver's spoof of Sylvester Stallone's "Over The Top" was highlighted as the best Stallone Internet spoof in the Guardian's review of "The Expendables".
