Trevor Noah Offers Amusing Solutions to the Problem of People Who Aren’t Black Using the N-Word (Video)
On Wednesday’s “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah looked at the uproar after Gina Rodriguez used the n-word in an Instagram video — and came up with a couple of amusing solutions to the problem of people who aren’t black doing so.

On Tuesday, Rodriguez uploaded the video, in which she sang along (uncensored) to a song by the Fugees. She later apologized, saying in part, “I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to the Fugees to a song I love. I grew up on Lauryn Hill, and um, I really am sorry if I offended you.”

“Here’s Trevor’s tip of the day,” Noah said after recapping the incident. “If you insist on saying the n-word when you’re rapping along with a song, don’t do it on Instagram. Do it on ‘The Masked Singer.’ ‘Cause then, people will have to wait three weeks

Moving to Los Angeles shortly before the murder of Christopher Wallace—also known as Biggie, or The Notorious B.I.G.—writer Kyle Long became fascinated by the rapper’s untimely end, and its handling in the media. Why USA’s Tupac and Biggie Series Doesn’t Have Tupac and Biggie Music

  • The Wrap
There’s just one thing missing from USA Network’s “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & the Notorious B.I.G.” — the music of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. What’s up with that? Well, here’s just a palatable snippet of what was a super-longwinded answer: “The music that you hear in the pilot is more inspired by the era,” co-producer and music supervisor Lyan Beth LeFlore said at the Television Critics Association press tour on Tuesday. “We pay homage to … Biggie and Tupac and their legacies, what they mean as cultural icons of hip-hop.” In other words, they don’t have the rights. ‘Live Pd’: Secrets Behind A&E’s Addictive Cop Show, and How It Almost Goes Off the Rails Each Week
There’s nothing quite like “Live Pd,” the hit A&E series that follows cops and sheriffs — live, in real time, as they patrol various cities and counties across the country. The series began as an eight-episode experiment, for two hours a week, back in October 2016. But as it turned into a sensation, A&E kept expanding the show’s footprint.

Now, “Live Pd” airs twice a week, on Friday and Saturday nights, for three hours both evenings (from 9 p.m. to midnight). And other than a brief five-week hiatus in September, it’s been on the air for most of the year.

“It is by far the most frustrating, challenging, and gratifying program that I have ever been involved with,” said executive producer Dan Cesareo, whose Big Fish Entertainment is behind the series. “No two nights are the same. You could have a great show one night, where we

Beyoncé Issues Cease-And-Desist Letter to Brewery for Naming a Beer After Her: Report
Beyoncé is strictly sticking to Lemonade, and not Biëryoncé.

The singer, 36, reportedly issued a cease-and-desist letter to the Brooklyn’s Lineup Brewing after they created a beer, called Biëryoncé, inspired by the singer, according to Pitchfork.

“As a Hispanic, female-run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage,” owner Katarina Martinez told the online publication. “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!”

The now-defunct beer features a design inspired by Beyoncé’s self-titled 2013 album.

The one-time batch is reportedly still available
