Reese Witherspoon, Home Edit Duo Set Lifestyle Series at Netflix

Netflix has ordered a new lifestyle series that boasts Reese Witherspoon among its executive producers.

The hour-long series will follow master home organizes Clea Sherer and Joanna Teplin, the duo behind The Home Edit company. In each episode, Sherer and Teplin will transform the lives of their clients by conquering clutter with their signature style. Each episode features two organizational projects shaped by the pair’s sense of form-meets-function that will entertain and inspire. Netflix has ordered eight episodes.

Tess Gamboa Meyers will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Witherspoon will executive produce under her Hello Sunshine banner. Other executive producers include Molly Sims, Charlotte Koh, Cynthia Stockhammer, Critical Content’s Tom Forman, Jenny Daly, and Jon Beyer.

News of the series comes after Netflix has found success in the lifestyle space with hits like “Queer Eye” and “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.”

Netflix is expanding its unscripted slate with new lifestyle series The Home Edit, featuring master organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the duo behind the innovative home organization company. The series hails from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine banner and Critical Content.

Known for their design-centric approach to arranging and organizing, the New York Times bestselling authors will take on the homes of big-name celebrities and everyday families in the eight-episode series.

The Home Edit, titled after Shearer and Teplin’s book The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals, follows the Nashville-based duo as they dramatically transform the lives of their clients by conquering clutter with their signature style. Netflix hates mess: The streaming service has begun production on an eight-episode lifestyle series produced by Reese Witherspoon and featuring Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the pair behind the innovative home organization company The Home Edit.

According to the streaming service, “known for their design-centric approach to arranging and organizing, New York Times bestselling authors Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin will take on the homes of big-name celebrities and everyday families.”

The currently untitled series “follows master organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin as they dramatically transform the lives of their clients by conquering clutter with their signature style,” Netflix’s description said. “Each hour-long episode features two organizational projects shaped by Clea & Joanna’s unique sense of form-meets-function that will entertain and inspire.”

Eight months after Tidying Up With Marie Kondo debuted on the streamer, it has ordered another home-organization series that counts Reese Witherspoon and Molly Sims among its executive producers.

The as-yet untitled, eight-episode show will feature Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, who founded design-centric home-organization company The Home Edit and have parlayed their success into a best-selling book and now the Netflix series. Each hourlong episode will take on two organization projects shaped by Shearer and Teplin's unique sense of form-meets-function.

In addition to participating on an Operation Smile medical mission to Lima, Peru, in 2007, actress and model Molly Sims, best known for her role on the popular TV show “Las Vegas,” co-hosted Operation Smile’s The Smile Collection fundraising gala in New York.

Of her experience in Peru, Sims said, “These kinds of experiences in life are not easily come by. We thank Operation Smile for enriching our lives and showing us a new frontier. Operation Smile volunteers are wonderful, beautiful people who change children’s lives.
