Batman: Hush Review: Another Stellar Entry in DC's Animated Universe

Batman: Hush Review: Another Stellar Entry in DC's Animated Universe
The Dark Knight gets hot and heavy with Catwoman while being threatened by a mysterious villain. Batman: Hush is an action-packed, decidedly more adult entry in the DC Animated Universe. Crisp animation and a clever plot keeps the pacing sleek. Adapted from the brilliant comic series by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, Batman: Hush also follows up on events after Reign of the Supermen; with the voice cast reprising their roles. Gotham's rogues gallery does some of their best supporting work. I rarely find Poison Ivy (Peyton List) interesting, but she's nearly a scene stealer here.

Batman: Hush begins with Bruce Wayne (Jason O'Mara) seeing Selina Kyle (Jennifer Morrison) at a fundraiser. Their mutual attraction reignites before Batman is called away urgently. Bane (Adam Gifford) has kidnapped a child for ransom. When Batman faces the venom fueled brute, he notices Bane's odd behavior. Catwoman joins the fracas, but we soon

Batman: Hush Trailer Brings Gotham's Greatest Villains Out of Hiding

Warner Bros. has released the first full-length trailer for Batman Hush. This is the latest in a long series of animated DC Comics adaptations that have proved to be very solid and welcome additions for fans. Only occasionally do we get the major slip up. In this case, the studio is tackling one of the character's most beloved and seminal storylines in what looks to be an action-packed and totally stuffed to the gills animated tour of Gotham City.

Things kick off with a, shall we say, heated chase between Batman and Catwoman. It gets progressively tense from there, as Poison Ivy is controlling Superman, which leads to some pretty epic destruction. As it turns out, there's a mysterious villain pulling the strings from behind the scenes known only (as the title implies) Hush. From there it becomes a cat and mouse game, with the who's who of Batman's rogues

First Look at Batman Hush Arrives as Cast Is Announced

DC Comics' Batman Hush is finally getting adapted for the screen. The long-awaited animated movie has announced its official cast and released a first-look image. The original comics were created by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee in 2002 and they are highly respected by Batman fans who have been awaiting the movie for nearly 20 years now. The story arc introduced the villainous Hush to the DC Comics universe and brought along a bunch of familiar faces, which the movie will be doing too.

While many fans expected Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to voice Batman and Joker, respectively, that isn't the case for Batman: Hush. The cast includes Jason O'Mara as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jennifer Morrison as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luther, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Bruce Thomas as Jim Gordon, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne, James Garrett as Alfred,

The Man in the High Castle Season 3 is One of Transition and Change

  • TVfanatic
We're at a transitional phase in American history, and The Man in the High Castle is following suit.

Just as it has recently been difficult to watch programs such as the recently departed, award-winning The Americans, the science-fiction alternate reality of Colony, and the world we never want to become on Emmy-winning The Handmaid's Tale. The Man in the High Castle forces viewers to think.

In the alternate aftermath of World War II in which the Axis won dividing the United States into the Japanese Pacific States, the Neutral Zone, and Nazi America, it's not easy living for those now living in the territories. Even those fully converted with their oppressors struggle to accept what was with what is.

The Man in the High Castle Season 3 continues the exploration of that conflict as the series also moved head-first into more standard science fiction fare. It's unclear how fully immersed in

Death of Superman Trailer Unleashes the Wrath of Doomsday

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Death of Superman. This is far from the first time that the famed comic book storyline has been brought to the screen, but we've yet to get a truly faithful adaptation. While it's clear based on this footage that this movie is taking some hefty liberties with the source material, it does look like we could be in for a much more faithful interpretation of the seminal DC Comics story.

The footage mostly focuses on Doomsday's arrival to Earth and his ensuing battle with the various members of the Justice League. They all get their butts handed to them pretty badly, as Doomsday is a formidable foe. After all, he is the being that managed to actually kill Superman. That climactic bit is teased pretty heavily here as well. This looks like it's going to be an action-packed animated DC adventure that could get pretty emotional.

Trailer For DC Animation's Latest Film The Death Of Superman

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the the first trailer for their latest animated film project, The Death of Superman. The film is an adaptation of the classic Superman comic book story arc from 1992. I really did love that story, which involved Doomsday killing Superman. I loved that story.

This is actually the second attempt for Warner Bros. to adapt this storyline. Superman: Doomsday was the first. But, this one is said to stay much closer to the original tone and storyline of the comic. Here’s the synopsis that was provided:

When a hulking monster emerges from an underground resting place and begins a mindless rampage, the Justice League is quickly called in to stop the colossal force of nature. But it soon becomes apparent that only Superman can stand against the monstrosity that has been nicknamed Doomsday. Battling their way throughout America, the two fight to a standstill

Now, a video online gives us a look at the new Death of Superman animated movie, which looks quite promising.

This isn't a trailer really. Rather, it's a look at a few finished scenes from The Death of Superman, along with commentary from co-director Jake Castorena, voice director Wes Gleason and supervising producer James Tucker. "His plight at the start of the movie is whether or not to share his life further with Lois," says Tucker. It turns out this movie is going

Warner Bros. Animation has released a video giving us our first look at footage of their latest DC animated film project The Death of Superman. This is one of DC Comic’s most popular storylines and to make sure they tell the story properly this time, they have split the story up into two full-length films. Warner Bros. previously attempted to adapt this storyline with Superman: Doomsday, but it looks like this one is going to be a lot better. There will be some differences from the comic but this will still stay much closer to the tone and storyline.
