Heather is an award-winning director of film, television and theater. She has directed episodes of Madam Secretary, Criminal Minds, Blue Bloods (2016 Voice Award winner) and the horror series, Freakish, streaming on Hulu. Additionally, she directed the pilot presentation for the one-hour drama Corporate produced by The Collective. Heather wrote and directed the short film Ruby's Tuesday that screened at more than twenty-five festivals including The Short Film Corner at Cannes. Notably, Heather was one of two directors chosen for the CBS Directing Initiative during the 2015 cycle and is a current protege in the inaugural DGA Craft and Mentorship Program.
Heather helmed theatrical premieres in London, San Francisco and Berkeley, including tenures with the acclaimed Shotgun Players and the Bay Area's Jawbone Theatre Ensemble which she co-founded.
Heather was the script supervisor on more than fifteen original single-camera dramas and comedies, including HBO's award-winning series Six Feet Under, Carnivale and Enlightened and TNT's critically acclaimed drama Saving Grace starring Academy Award winner Holly Hunter. Heather's debut directing episode of Saving Grace was chosen as the submission piece for both Ms. Hunter's SAG and Golden Globe award nominations.
Heather is an active member of The Directors Guild of America (DGA) and serves as the appointed Co-Coordinator of the Activities & Events Standing Committee for the Women's Steering Committee.
