YouTube Drops Trailer for Doug Liman’s ‘Impulse’ Season 2 (Watch)

  • Variety
YouTube released the official trailer for the second season of “Impulse,” the thriller from executive producer Doug Liman, which returns to the service next month — when it will be available to watch for free with ads.

The entire first season of “Impulse” is now to watch free on YouTube, and season 2 will premiere Oct. 16 in front of the paywall with new episodes weekly under the video giant’s new release strategy for originals.

In “Impulse,” Maddie Hasson stars as Henrietta “Henry” Coles, a rebellious 17-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and longs to escape from her seemingly quaint small town. During a traumatic event, Henry discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport, and her newfound power confirms Henry’s conviction that she really was different from everybody else — but it now makes her the focus of those who want to control her.

In the season

There’s Constantine Galore In These New Legends Of Tomorrow Photos

Yes, I’ll concede that the current season of Legends of Tomorrow has a lot going for it, but you have to admit how the inclusion of John Constantine helped boost interest in the series. After his own show was unfortunately cancelled by NBC after only 13 episodes, Matt Ryan’s iteration of the exorcist has become an unexpected and welcome addition to the Arrowverse in the time since.

Because of his continuing popularity, there’s just a certain level of excitement surrounding each episode of Legends that has a significant focus on Constantine. In fact, he’s proven to be key ingredient in season 4, seeing as how so much of it is based in magic and the fantastical, not to mention how this year’s big bad, Neron, has now taken on the likeness of John’s ex-boyfriend.

So, if you’re a fan of the trenchcoat wearing badass, then

"...when 'Tanya' (Nesta Cooper), a disciple of 'Coville', escapes from what's left of his cult, she gives 'Kara' (Melissa Benoist) and 'James' (Mehcad Brooks) a journal that could hold the key to saving 'Sam' (Odette Annable).

James Olsen Ponders Unmasking As Guardian In New Supergirl Synopsis

Ever since Mehcad Brooks was originally cast as James “Jimmy” Olsen for Supergirl, I and others couldn’t help but notice he didn’t quite have the nerdy appearance we’ve come to know from the character. In fact, I maintained from the beginning that he looked much more like a superhero.

In fact, I remember some fans using crafty photo editing to place Brooks as Val-Zod, the Superman known from Earth 2 comics and, trust me, what I saw was quite believable. And although James may not be Kryptonian, I’m guessing the producers working on the series noticed the actor’s impressive build along the way, perhaps influencing them to evolve him into the Guardian.

After giving criminals on the streets of National City one more person to fear throughout season 2, Olsen has since taken a step back from the vigilante lifestyle in season 3, instead focusing on his duties of running CatCo.

Jessica Jones Season 2 Episode 3 Review – ‘Aka Sole Survivor’

Matt Rodgers reviews the third episode of Jessica Jones season 2…

This third episode settles into the formula that season 2 has been quick to establish. Jessica partnering up with a persistent Trish, while the supporting cast plant the seeds of their own threads for the bigger picture.

‘Aka Sole Survivor’ starts with a lighthearted visit to Trish’s hypnotherapist, with Jessica admitting, “my past is killing me now, so not a lot of options”. It doesn’t go too well, largely because she doesn’t have a “safe place”, but it does trigger a Nightmare on Elm Street style dream in which she’s back in Dr. Koslov’s facility.

Returning to the hospital, Jessica does a nice bit of contrived detective work that leads to the discovery of a name; Dr. Leslie Hanson. Reluctantly agreeing that the “hypnoquack” might have worked, Trish and Jessica embark on a mission to find the whereabouts of Dr.

Green Arrow And Vigilante Face Off In Photos For Next Week’s Arrow

Promo photos for next week’s episode of Arrow reveal that it will see the Emerald Archer square off against his enemy Vigilante.

The character has featured in a recurring role on The CW show since season 5, with the issue of his secret identity kept a mystery for a surprisingly long amount of time. Eventually, the fifth episode of season 6 – “Deathstroke Returns” – revealed that Vigilante was really Vincent Sobel, a Star City cop and former boyfriend of Dinah Drake.

Since then, the criminal-hating Vigilante appeared to have compromised his morals in his quest to bring down the Green Arrow by allying himself with a Legion of Doom-like cabal of villains led by Michael Emerson’s Cayden James. However, last week’s episode saw Sobel claim that he was actually working against James from the inside. In the next installment, Team Arrow will have to decide whether they can trust the guy or not.

New Synopses Tease What Lies Ahead For Supergirl And Arrow

Even though we have a few days to go until some of our favorite DC TV shows return for the back half of the current season, we’re able to peer ever so slightly into the future now that more synopses are creeping online. Don’t forget, episode descriptions tend to make their rounds three weeks ahead of time, but thankfully don’t really spoil whatever episodes come before.

First, let’s talk about Supergirl.

On January 29, it looks as though the series may stray away from the Legion of Super-Heroes – at least for that week – and instead focus on a few other unfolding situations. For starters, we can expect the battle between Morgan Edge and Lena Luthor to continue. Even having been explored sporadically thus far this season, our guess is that this thread will somehow be woven into the greater tapestry before long.

Speaking of which, it appears

Barry Finally Meets The Thinker In New Arrowverse Synopses

The next load of episode synopses for Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow have arrived. This batch of installments should be important ones, too, as they’re for the week beginning November 20th Aka the week before all four Arrowverse shows crossover for the “Crisis on Earth-x” team-up event.

First off, Supergirl season 3, episode 7 is titled “Wake Up” and features Team Supergirl finally realizing that there’s a spaceship hidden underwater in National City, something that’s been teased since the first episode of the season.

“Wake Up” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. Et) (TV-pg, V) (HDTV)

Chad Lowe Returns To Direct; Betty Buckley Guest Stars — When Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and the team discover an alien ship has crash landed deep underwater beneath National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is called in to investigate. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) attempts to bond with his father, Myr’nn (guest star

Prometheus Is Two Steps Ahead In New Arrow Featurette

With just hours to go until this season’s penultimate episode of Arrow graces our television screens, a new featurette has surfaced that provides a deeper look into the final phases of Prometheus’ deadly game.

In it, executive producer Wendy Mericle takes us on a guided tour of this particular installment and, without spoiling too much, lets us know that Adrian Chase has no intention of lying down now that he’s in Argus’s custody. In fact, he has contingencies in place, but would you expect anything less from a guy who always has his eyes on the prize?

As it turns out, his allies are picking off members of Team Arrow one by one, putting Oliver in a desperate situation. Sure, some fisticuffs may ensue, but we’re assuming most of that’ll be saved for next week’s season finale. In the meantime, it looks like Oliver

Team Arrow Members Go “Missing” In Extended Promo

Last night on Arrow, Prometheus decided to continue his multifaceted assault on Oliver Queen, this time dragging his foe’s father’s name through the mud. But after capably weathering the storm, our hero was finally able to score a victory over Adrian Chase, with the big bad now being in Argus lockup.

Still, nobody should be shocked that a big picture kind of guy like Chase had contingencies in place, and is now picking off members of Team Arrow one by one – with a little help, of course. Although the trailer keeps its cards a little close to its vest in that regard, we do see a disguised woman who may very well be Talia al Ghul taking part in the action.

As for Chase’s other “friends,” it comes as a surprise that Black Siren didn’t appear in the promo as she’d no doubt draw more than a few viewers.

The Legion Of Doom Wins In This Revealing New Legends Of Tomorrow Episode Description

Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow has been excellent so far, as we’ve watched Reverse-Flash and his Legion of Doom attempting to recover the Spear of Destiny so that the evil speedster can rewrite reality and stop himself from being wiped from the timeline by the Black Flash.

The Legends recently got a big win though when they managed to restore Rip Hunter’s memories and bring him back to the site of the angels, but a new episode description reveals that the Legion will succeed in getting the Spear and changing the world as they see fit. Rather appropriately, this instalment of Legends of Tomorrow is called “Doomsworld.” For the full scoop on what’s to come here, here’s the synopsis:

After obtaining the Spear of Destiny, the Legion of Doom rewrites reality, leaving the Legends changed, perhaps forever. Frightfully, the Legends’ and the world’s hopes rest
