The Rise of Skywalker Shows the Best & Worst Versions of Rey Says Daisy Ridley

The Rise of Skywalker Shows the Best & Worst Versions of Rey Says Daisy Ridley
It took approximately two seconds after the first image of Dark Rey was glimpsed by the internet for theories, complaints and excited squeals to emanate from Star Wars fans everywhere. Of course, we still have no idea how exactly the pale, cloaked version of Rey plays into the story, but star Daisy Ridley has now revealed what it was like to play the character in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

"It's fun to play someone's best version, and then the worst. It's an amazing thing to do as an actress, but we can't do it often. [...] I felt very good. That's the most I can say, unfortunately."

Though Daisy Ridley understandably remains excruciatingly vague about the whole 'Dark Rey' situation, it is nice to know that she at least enjoyed the experience whilst the rest of us sat at home smashing our keyboards in frustration about what it all means.

How Much Screen Time Does Leia Get in The Rise of Skywalker?

The Rise of Skywalker is all set to wrap up the decades spanning saga that began so long ago with 1977's A New Hope. One of the trinity of original characters, Princess Leia has evolved from the sassy royal who needed rescuing from a guy too short to be a Stormtrooper, to the General and founder of the rapidly decreasing Resistance, tasked with fighting the universe controlling First Order. Sadly, due to the death of beloved actress Carrie Fisher in December 2016, Leia's role in The Rise of Skywalker has been cobbled together from just 8 minutes of unused footage.

Carrie Fisher's brother Todd Fisher has revealed several details about the plans that were in place for his sister's character. Originally, Leia was the Last Jedi. That unfortunately will now never come to pass. Due to the tragic circumstances, director J.J. Abrams was only left with a precious 8 minutes, which he worked

Hayden Christensen Drops By Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

With the highly-anticipated arrival of The Rise of Skywalker less than two months away, bringing to a close the galactic, operatic saga we’ve been following for decades, Star Wars fever is certainly in the air. And one of the great questions surrounding the film is whether or not Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role of Anakin Skywalker as a Force Ghost.

Christensen, who played pre-Sith Vader through Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, was famously inserted into the Force Ghost homage at the end of Return of the Jedi. That fact makes it much more likely that he could reappear in December, given that it’s 38-year-old actor’s face who many generations have associated with the iconic character.

But whether or not Christensen comes back, it appears that the franchise is at least somewhat on his mind. Photos have arrived on Twitter that show

Dolemite Is My Name Movie review: Critics Review, Rating, Cast and Crew

Why is this film about a raunchy standup comedian being touted as Eddie Murphy's comeback? An outstanding comic talent such as he doesn't go away. And even if we are looking at dates, Murphy was in much finer form in his last release "Mr Church", where he brought to great use his penchant for wry social comment into play.

There is more foreplay in Murphy's portrayal of the foulmouthed stand-up comedian Rudy Ray More (a.k.a Dolemite) than any actual swipes at salaciousness. Sure, there is a lot of abusive language and cusswords in "Dolemite", Eddie Murphy's stand-up act that shocked America in the 1970s. But nothing that they back then, and we now, can't handle.

We've seen worse.

What really provides this film about a rebel with a clause with its share of heft is the theme of segregation and and racial discrimination, both placed on their

Only Harvey Dent Will Be In The Batman, Two-Face Being Saved For Sequel

The Batman is set to feature Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight going up against several of his greatest enemies all at once. Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano have already been cast as Catwoman and Riddler, respectively, with other characters like Penguin, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow and more also believed to be dropping by. Fans have wondered how squeezing in this many super-criminals will work, but it seems that some of them will still be undergoing their origin stories.

We Got This Covered has been told that, though the character of Two-Face will appear in The Batman, the film will only feature him as Harvey Dent, noble District Attorney, and not as the disfigured coin-flipping crime boss he becomes. The plan is apparently to hold off on his transformation until the sequel.

We’ve reason to trust this information, too, as these same sources have given us plenty of reliable intel about
