Emmy episode analysis: Ted Danson (‘The Good Place’) is devilishly funny as a demon with a heart of gold

Emmy episode analysis: Ted Danson (‘The Good Place’) is devilishly funny as a demon with a heart of gold
It just wouldn’t be an Emmy race without Ted Danson. The two-time champion earned his 17th career nomination for playing an afterlife demon with a heart of gold on “The Good Place,” for which he previously contended last year. Prior to that, he won two trophies (1990 and 1993) out of 11 bids for “Cheers” and competed three more times for “Damages” and once for the 1984 television movie “Something About Amelia.”

For his Emmy submission, Danson has chosen the third season episode of Season 3, “The Worst Possible Use of Free Will.” In this installment, Michael (Danson) shows Eleanor (Kristen Bell) her romantic memories with Chidi (William Jackson Harper), confessing he has often failed to predict her behavior. He admits their experiment to place the gang back on Earth in an attempt to rework the afterlife is pointless if everything is predetermined, so he sends them to Canada to find “a blueprint for humanity.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion, Part 1 Recap: Vanderpump Rules (Without Even Showing Up)

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion, Part 1 Recap: Vanderpump Rules (Without Even Showing Up)
There was a conspicuously empty seat on the couch next to Andy Cohen as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 reunion kicked off — but absence definitely didn’t make anyone’s heart grow fonder.

Andy is joined in Part 1 of the reunion by Denise, Erika (looking… tastefully understated, actually?), Lisa Rinna (sporting a blonde wig, for some reason), Kyle, Teddi and Dorit (who’s dressed like an android pop singer from Blade Runner 2049) — but no Lisa Vanderpump. Bravo twists the knife further by flashing back to Adrienne Maloof’s Season 3 reunion no-show, which Lisa called a “mistake” at the time.

Fork yes! Ted Danson extends his own Emmy record with his lucky 13th Best Comedy Actor nomination

Fork yes! Ted Danson extends his own Emmy record with his lucky 13th Best Comedy Actor nomination
Ted Danson nabbed his lucky 13th Emmy nomination in Best Comedy Actor on Tuesday and second in a row for “The Good Place.” But even more good news? He’s now extended his own record for most nominations in the category.

Danson set the record himself last year when he pulled ahead with his 12th bid. He was previously tied at 11 with Alan Alda and Kelsey Grammer for 14 years. Alda achieved 11th heaven first, getting shortlisted for all 11 seasons of “M*A*S*H,” winning in 1974 and 1982. Danson then went 11 for 11 for playing our favorite bartender Sam Malone, on “Cheers,” taking home the award in 1990 and ’93.

See 2019 Emmy nominations: Here’s the complete list of nominees

Grammer also received 11 nominations for playing one character, Dr. Frasier Crane, but only 10 of them were for “Frasier,” as he was snubbed in 2003. His 11th bid was for his guest appearance as Frasier in

The Hills Recap: Can You Believe There Was Drama at the Crystal Party?
Only on a show like The Hills: New Beginnings could one character look at another in earnest and sigh, “Maybe at the crystal party, we’ll see what happens.”

IMDb TV Pushes Subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video, But the Service Has Its Own Niche

IMDb TV has come a long way in the last few months. Well, that’s a given, since the thing only launched in January. But still! Since then, IMDb’s nascent streaming service has changed its name, cut deals with an array of major studios and pledged to add thousands of films and television shows to the platform in the coming months. Yesterday, IMDb TV, which launched as Freedive and rebranded itself in June, announced IMDb’s first scripted show, an animated series titled “You’re Not a Monster” that will star Kelsey Grammer, Patton Oswalt and a handful of other well-known talent.

Exciting stuff. But as IMDb TV continues to expand, one can’t help but ask: Why does this service exist?

That sounds harsh, but it’s a query IMDb will be working hard to answer as the service expands in the months and years ahead. IMDb is owned by Amazon,

In the series, Grammer will take a seat in the therapist chair for the first time since his Frasier days as former psychiatrist-turned-vampire who mentors his great-great grandson Max (Stonestreet), a therapist who has inherited his practice.

Each episode will be four to five minutes and will feature Max treating familiar faces in the movie monster world including Frankenstein, The Invisible Man and Medusa as they seek desperately needed therapeutic help.

‘Toy Story 2’ Blooper Scene About Sexual Misconduct Edited Out of Re-Release (Video)
The re-release of Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 2” on 4K and digital is missing a post-credits scene that made a joke about sexual misconduct and alludes to the casting couch in Hollywood.

According to multiple DVD release forums and websites including Re-Release News, ResetEra.com and Blu-Ray.com, as well as from observations on Reddit, the a clip appeared to be edited out of the credits on the new release when compared side by side with the original Blu-Ray release of the film.

The scene in question is part of a series of blooper-reel style gags that play during the credits. In one, Woody turns around the box of the doll Stinky Pete, the villain in the film voiced by Kelsey Grammer, only to find him with two tall Barbie dolls wearing short skirts.

The change was first noticed when Disney Pixar re-released the Toy Story movies in 4K Blu-Ray earlier this year ahead of Toy Story 4 hitting theaters. Fake bloopers are a Toy Story tradition, with all four films featuring them during the credits. ReRelease.com was first to report the news.

Disney told People the company has no comment.

The deleted faux blooper features the character Stinky Pete (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) talking to two Barbies in his box.
