Created, written, directed and executive produced by Noah Hawley, who also serves as showrunner, Season 4 is set in 1950 in Kansas City, Mo. In Kansas City, two criminal syndicates — one Italian, led by Donatello Fadda, one African American, led by Loy Cannon (Rock) — have struck an uneasy peace, which the heads of both families have cemented by trading their youngest sons.

Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice – Review

Last week filmgoers were treated to a rather nifty feature documentary, Fiddler: A Miracle Of Miracles, all about the creation of the beloved stage classic “Fiddler on the Roof”. Well, let’s continue the “musical mood” with another doc about a very popular lady singer. Uh oh, the last big female singer feature docs were 2015’s Amy (Ms. Winehouse) and last year’s Whitney (Ms. Houston), so could this be about another songstress struck down at far too young an age? Happily, I can give a resounding “No!”. She appears in new footage and narrates several sequences. However, there’s more than a hint of tragedy at the film’s conclusion. But the journey is quite magical, as she dazzles in a wide range of musical styles and genres. All this audio delight comes courtesy of Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice.

Her screen story starts in the

River Phoenix sadly was one of those actors whose career burned bright for only a few years and then ended way before its time. August 23, 2019, would have marked his 49th birthday but tragically the gifted young actor only made it to age 23.

Phoenix and his siblings (including Joaquin Phoenix) began acting as children. He found his first job in a television show based on the popular film “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” That show only ran for one season, but Phoenix would continue to work on TV for the next few years. In 1985 he would have his breakthrough in a supporting role in an acclaimed all-star TV movie called “Surviving” and then that same year in his first feature film “Explorers.” The following year would mark an even bigger breakthrough when he starred in the sleeper hit “Stand by Me” as one of four childhood friends who go looking for a dead body.

Dan Fogelman Inks Mega New Overall Deal With 20th Century Fox Television
This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman is staying put at 20th Century Fox TV, signing a massive new five-year deal with the studio behind the hit NBC drama.

Under the pact, Fogelman will continue to help steer This Is Us, which is headed into its fourth season, and develop new series for the studio, now owned by Disney, through his Rhode Island Ave. Productions. (This Is Us has bot been renewed by NBC but that is considered a formality.)

Fogelman was one of the biggest names on 20th TV’s roster to come into play this year. It was important for the studio to step up to keep him and it did so. No one would comment but I hear Fogelman’s new deal is in the nine figures.

This is the latest big overall deal announced by 20th TV since its acquisition by Disney (along with other key 21st Century Fox

Notre Dame Cathedral: 14 Classic Movie Scenes at the Paris Landmark (Photos)

  • The Wrap
A fire broke out on the roof of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris Sunday. Shortly thereafter, the flames caused the spire to collapse and spread to one of its landmark tower. The cathedral spokesman shared the heartbreaking news: “Everything is burning, nothing will remain from the frame.”

The 850-year-old cathedral is a landmark in history and on celluloid. It’s the primary backdrop for the classic 1939 film “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame,” as well as Disney’s 1996 animated feature remake. It has also appeared in the Oscar-nominated “Midnight in Paris” and 2004’s “Van Helsing.”

Here is a list of films either set or shot at the famed Cathedral.

George Morfogen Dies: ‘Oz’, Broadway Actor Was 86

George Morfogen, an actor whose career spanned Broadway (most recently in 2008’s A Man For All Seasons), film and the TV role for which he’s probably most widely known — as the seen-it-all inmate Bob Rebadow of HBO’s Oz — died March 8 at his home in New York.

His death was announced by his family in a New York Times obituary. No cause was disclosed, but donations in his memory can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Although Morfogen will be instantly recognizable to viewers of the intense, addictive Oz (1997–2003), in which his quiet, laid-back, eldery survivor of the brutal Oswald State Correctional Facility often was a mentor to younger, hotter heads, the actor appeared on no fewer than 12 TV series. Among them were St, Elsewhere, Deadly Matrimony, Blood Feud and Sherlock Holmes. His TV credits go back to Kojak and The Adams Chronicles

The Five Best Kevin Kline Movies of His Career

Here’s something interesting about Kevin Kline that a lot of people have figured out but a lot of people still don’t know about. He can be every bit as inspiring as he is funny and people absolutely love it. He’s a walking grab bag of emotions when it comes to how he can pull them out of any audience member since he’s shown that he can be humorous, melancholy, serious, hilarious, and just basically off the wall when he needs to be. Kline is one of the few that can turn the switch on and off when he needs to
