In this episode, Sam’s wife, Michelle is kidnapped and the only way for her to be rescued is for Tahir Khaled, Sam’s arch nemesis to be released from prison. Despite Tahir’s release, Michelle is not set free and the rest of the team continue to desperately try to find and rescue her. Unfortunately, the team are too late to save Michelle as she dies from lack of oxygen. The episode ends with a heartbroken Sam holding Michelle in his arms.

In this episode, Musa, Stella and Tecna must go through a magical maze to prove their worth to get the Water Stars. Upon doing so each of the girls sacrifice something important to them. Tecna gives up her emotions, Stella gives up her beauty and Musa gives up the chance to be with her deceased mother again. In the end, the girls managed to gain the Water Stars and Tecna and Stella regain their emotions and beauty respectively. Although Musa was not reunited with her mother, she was assured that her mother will always and forever live in her heart.

The saddest yet sweetest moment is at the end of the episode when Barry goes to visit his father in jail.

In this episode we finally get to learn the full details on why Miss Martian and Superboy broke up, revealing Conner broke up with M'gann over how she has been abusing her powers. However, the real reason is because she attempted to erase Superboy’s memories, resulting in Superboy feeling immensely betrayed by her actions that lead to their break up. When Conner begins express how deeply hurt he still is by her actions it’s a heavily emotional scene for them, showing they both still haven’t gotten over their break up.

When Danny and Stephanie finally talk, Stephanie believes she will be punished for life and her father won’t love her anymore, but Danny reassures her that he will always love her and the episode ends with a heartfelt hug.
