Complete change of pace from the first two Thor films. Great set of characters and tone in the film. One of the best on this list. A great time all round.
7. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

Head and shoulders above the first film. Spy film with a great tone and develops important characters. Surprisingly great film.

Hyped up a lot but disappointing. Not the worst by any means but not exciting enough to match some of the better marvel films. Few good points but overall just an okay film.

Slightly better than first film, but still not great. Hard spot to fill releasing straight after Infinity War to be fair to the film.

The best standalone Marvel movie. Near perfect in what it sets out to be. Hard to dislike anything about this film. Don't need to be a comic book or marvel fan to enjoy this movie.
15. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Great film and continuation of the story. Not quite as strong as the first film but very close. More emotional than funny but definitely one of the best.

The best Marvel film to date. The culmination of the 10 year story with all characters involved and each has their own part to play. Expertly written and has the best Villain of any comic book film. Also has one of the best cliffhanger endings in cinema. Perfect for what it is.

Absolute perfection for a superhero finale. Makes Infinity War better by making this the best 2 part story in history, and ending the 21 movie / 11 year story in the perfect way. Exactly what i wanted and more. Blown away, and so much better than it has any right to be.
