R | 92 min | Drama, Horror, Mystery
A census-taker (Sisto) is sent to investigate why a certain small town has had the same population -- 436 residents -- for the last 100 years.

Another one of those movies where it could happen to you and your mates, getting drugged on holiday and shipped off to have your organs harvested. Great chemistry within the cast, I love the scenes when they are in the village trying to get help but no one comes to their aid.

Votes: 66,802 | Gross: $17.43M
Another somewhat underrated horror, but it is terrifically horrific. The scenes with poor Stacy trying to hack vines out of herself is quite nauseating, so well portrayed. You really feel so very sorry for these innocent explorers who end up in hell basically.

Woh The Midnight Meat Train is a bloody gore-fest. As Leon (Bradley Cooper) begins to tail Mahogany (Vinnie Jones) you start to wish he would just go back to his nice happy life. But he's hooked and slowly his life begins to unravel and he is a spectator in a very downhill spiral of events.

Votes: 90,868 | Gross: $65.00M
I love this up to date Friday the 13th. The characters are great Travis van Winkle (yes that is his name) and Jared Padalecki (yep) give superb performances. The kills are fab and I like the historical stuff going on with the house in the woods and such as well.
10. Darkness (2002)
PG-13 | 88 min | Horror
A teenage girl moves into a remote countryside house with her family, only to discover that their gloomy new home has a horrifying past that threatens to destroy the family.
Votes: 18,224 | Gross: $22.16M
A family move into a new home in the remote countryside. The home is haunted and has a mysterious history seemingly linked to the family that moves into it. I like the dynamics of this movie, how the teenage girl keeps pointing out stuff that is going on and no one takes any notice. Just like people do with teenagers.
11. 6 Souls (2010)
R | 112 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
A forensic psychiatrist discovers that all but one of her patient's multiple personalities are murder victims. She will have to find out what's happening before her time is finished.
I know this movie as 'Shelter' but it is also known as '6 Souls'. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is mesmerising in his role as David/Adam etc The whole cast are superb, bringing with them a creepy, gritty web of intrigue and mystery. I love it.
12. See No Evil 2 (2014)
R | 90 min | Action, Horror, Thriller
An undertaker's birthday party is interrupted when Jacob Goodnight rises from the dead and proceeds to terrorize her and her friends.
The characters in this movie are great, I didn't want any of them to die! I think the story based in the morgue is a brilliant idea and how they are all locked in. Kane is superb in this movie, a giant killing machine.
13. The Possession (I) (2012)
PG-13 | 92 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
A young girl buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child.
Votes: 54,266 | Gross: $49.13M
This movie, to me, felt quite clever. It has many layers and dynamics. It is interesting as well as horrific. As a kid I grew up going to boot sales and it brought home to me how easily we can purchase old items that may have spiritual value that we are not aware of and bring them into our homes.
14. Joy Ride (2001)

16. The Gravedancers (2006)
R | 95 min | Horror
After a night of drunken exploits, Allison, Harris, and Kira are chased and terrorized by the ghosts of a child pyromaniac, an ax murderer, and a rapist.
Not sure why I like this movie so much but I do. I like the message of 'be careful how you behave because you will pay for your actions. Three friends drunkenly dance on some graves and get pursued by angry spirits and they have to repent for their actions.

Former United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity itself.
Votes: 562,986 | Gross: $202.36M
I like how you see this begin and follow it through to a relatively feasible conclusion. I love the special effects and how you go worldwide. The only thing I didn't like was the relationship between Jerry and Karin Lane, it just didn't feel real. However the rest of the movie is so enjoyable that I ignore that part of it.
19. The Facility (2012)
TV-MA | 80 min | Horror

I went paint-balling once and it's bloody awful. I like the rawness of this movie, the story is good and the cast do well. It's a little rough around the edges but I think it suits the films delivery.

22. Open Graves (2009)

A killer uses an 18th century machine with supernatural powers to terrorize students at a college.
A film a little similar to Open Graves but it is a device this time rather than a game.

One of the greatest horror movies of all time. Just re-watch it on a massive television with the volume up, you will not disagree.
31. Uninhabited (2010)
TV-14 | 93 min | Horror, Thriller
A young couple go to a remote and deserted coral island for a camping holiday, only to find that the island is inhabited by a ghost seeking retribution for a past outrage.
It's not perfect, the two main characters could have been better but I love the mystery and historical relevance to the present. Also how we would all think being on a desert island would be our paradise yet it turns out to be Harry and Beth's hell.
32. Mine Games (2012)
TV-14 | 92 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
A group of young friends make an incomprehensible discovery in an abandoned mine, but the more they try to change the future, the more they seal their fate.

This is my favourite Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, it captures the absolute horror and filth of the situation the kids are in. Monty in the wheelchair is my favourite character in this film. And the Sheriff oh my god he is hideous! A true horror.
37. Mirrors (I) (2008)
R | 110 min | Horror, Mystery
An ex-cop and his family are the target of an evil force that is using mirrors as a gateway into their home.
Votes: 98,103 | Gross: $30.69M
Although not perfect I still have a soft spot for Mirrors. Ben and Amy are both very 'whiny' which is irritating but push that aside it's a pretty good concept.

When a young doctor suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft, she learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her.
An apartment that is too good to be true, a landlord who is gorgeous and the silly woman wants her cheating ex back! Jeffrey Dean Morgan is this movie, he is awesome, mesmerising.
