Great show with some memorable storylines, characters and very funny scenes. I doubt I will ever get tired of this one - it's been a regular on the TV for most of my life!!!

2. Dawson's Creek (1998–2003)

TV-14 | 60 min | Drama, Romance

Four friends in a small coastal town help each other cope with adolescence.

Stars: James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson

Votes: 32,516

Whenever I think of this show, the thing that makes it stand out from other teen dramas is...the word I use is "elegance". It was never about sex, drugs, alcohol, being cool or wearing the hippest clothes. It was about friendship, romance and growing up. Such a beautiful show with some pretty excellent acting all round.

3. Family Ties (1982–1989)

TV-G | 30 min | Comedy, Family

Chronicles liberal ex-hippies Steven and Elyse Keaton, their conservative son Alex, daughters Mallory and Jennifer, and later, youngest child Andrew.

Stars: Michael J. Fox, Michael Gross, Meredith Baxter, Justine Bateman

Votes: 14,733

Memories of coming home from school and watching re-runs of this show will be forever embedded into my memory. Along with the episode "A, My Name Is Alex", which is one of the greatest sitcom "A Very Special Episodes" ever. Michael J Fox was brilliant in this. Just perfect, funny and touching.

4. My So-Called Life (1994– )

TV-14 | 60 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance

A 15-year-old girl and her trials and tribulations of being a teenager and dealing with friends, guys, parents, and school.

Stars: Bess Armstrong, Wilson Cruz, Claire Danes, Devon Gummersall

Votes: 18,076

Teenage girls are moody, self-absorbed and worry too much about who they should hang out with. That's not just my opinion, but also the way in which Claire Danes portrays Angela in this excellent teen drama which was way ahead of it's time. It's honest without having to go over the top with characters or storylines. And all the actors are excellent. Even Jared Leto (AKA Jordan Catalano), who played an unobtainable love who Angela pines after.

5. Boy Meets World (1993–2000)

TV-G | 23 min | Comedy, Drama, Family

An adolescent with two siblings tests his various theories about life as he endures the trials of growing alongside a good friend.

Stars: Ben Savage, Rider Strong, William Daniels, Betsy Randle

Votes: 36,754

The teenage equivelent to Friends. Humour-wise, I actually think it's funnier. It was able to incorporate kid-friendly characters and storylines with some pretty confronting adult humour (now watching it again, I can see why Disney banned some episodes!!). All the actors were excellent as well!!

6. M*A*S*H (1972–1983)

TV-PG | 25 min | Comedy, Drama, War

The staff of an Army hospital in the Korean War find that laughter is the best way to deal with their situation.

Stars: Alan Alda, Wayne Rogers, Loretta Swit, Jamie Farr

Votes: 47,725

It's just a timeless classic which makes you laugh and cry in so many episodes. Just a really great show.

7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)

TV-14 | 44 min | Action, Drama, Fantasy

A young woman, destined to slay vampires, demons and other infernal creatures, deals with her life fighting evil, with the help of her friends.

Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Head

Votes: 120,901

I never watched this durng it's original run (too young) but after cathcing up last year, it has become a definate keeper in my DVD collection! If not BUffy, it's for Willow, Xander, Spike, Cordelia, Angel, Darla, Oz, Dawn...just everyone on the show!!! It was a perfect mix of teen drama and sci-fi thriller which appeals to many!

8. The Waltons (1971–1981)

TV-G | 60 min | Drama, Family, Romance

The life and trials of a 1930s and 1940s Virginia mountain family through financial depression and World War II.

Stars: Jon Walmsley, Mary Beth McDonough, Eric Scott, Judy Norton

Votes: 5,097

Yeah, John Boy was a real hillbilly, huh? But I love him anyway. I enjoyed the show as a whole and also each character had their own little stories and we were able to see all of them grow. And those Baldwin sisters - hilarious!!! I want me some of The Recipe!

9. Party of Five (1994–2000)

TV-PG | 60 min | Drama, Family

5 siblings raise each other following their parents' untimely deaths.

Stars: Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf, Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert

Votes: 8,828

This was never as popular as 7th Heaven. Which I will never understand, seeing as though Party Of Five was able to stay afloat even though it had terrible ratings at first. It was the first family drama which didn't also incorporate comedy and a sitcom-style to it. The acting by all was excellent. And it's pretty awesome that all of the main characters were able to go on to bigger things, which proves they were all more than capable of acting at such young ages.

10. Full House (1987–1995)

TV-G | 22 min | Comedy, Drama, Family

A widowed broadcaster raises his three children with the assistance of his rock 'n' roll brother-in-law and his madcap best friend.

Stars: Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure

Votes: 49,864

Just because it's so nostalgic. No, it's nohere near the best show ever. However it taught many values and was able to be both funny and heartwarming at many times. Mary-Kate and Ashley were probably the only baby-actresses ever who were kept for the entire show run without changing as they grew up. And lucky for them! Danny was such a dork. I realise it more and more as I watch the show. It was a funny show which never took itself seriously (except when Papouli died...I don't speak of that moment *tear*) and was entertaining no matter how cheesy it got!
