my top 35 favorite comedy's

these 32 movies are in my humble opinion the best comedy's of all time. in no particular order......that said if they were in any sort of order my top one would be hysterical, my second would be night patrol and my third would be cannibal the musical.

it was a toss up between this or the life of brian, both are superb but i think i chose the holy grail because thats the one i saw first. i dont think i need to describe the film as everyone should know the story allready. python at their best.

again i struggled picking my favorite steve martin movie as the jerk & all of me are just as good but the first time i watched this one as soon as it finished i restarted it and watched it again. i love most of the early steve martin stuff but not that keen on his later films. a classic.

is this your dog, do you mind if i pet him.....allrighty then. i had only seen jim carrey doing bit parts before i saw him in this even though he had all ready made once bitten but this was the movie that shot him to superstardom even though dumb & dumber and the mask are exellent this is the one for me. shame ace ventura 2 was no where near as good.

i love this movie and recently managed to get it on dvd, im quite a big kurt russell fan anyway and think he is a fine comedy actor. give it a watch you will love it.

i know that this is a new one and maybe it has not earned its place as one of the best comedys of all time but ive seen it about 5 times now and it still has me in stitches.

eat the rich is by the comic strip presents team and has a steller cast of top british comedians in it, also features a long time hero of mine, the great man himself lemmy playing the part of (well within his comfort zone) yup a rocker called spider.

all the usual suspects are there and nosher powell (the wrestler) puts in a mighty fine performance as.....well nosher powell of course, blah blah blah secret hideout, big ron (from eastenders) is noshers dodgy sidekick, blah blah blah shotgun & even shane macgowan (the pogues) has a cameo role as.....yup you guessed it a mouthy irish he did. blah blah blah bankrobber. all in all this movie is a comedy classic, blah blah blah WATCH IT !!!

directed by none other than the now very famous peter jackson and is also a sort of follow up to bad taste.... my favorite line from the movie is delivered by a priest with a shotgun, as he is fighting the zombies he shouts out....i kick arse for the lord........pure class
