A girl can dream. Mike Rowe is the delicious host of Discovery's "Dirty Jobs." In an age of bizarro 'Claymates,' cage-fighter Alex Reid wearing women's clothes and Adam Lambert bedazzled in more makeup than Tammy Faye Baker ever could, along comes an all-American man, hairy chested with natural ease, with a willingness to get down and dirty. Rowe's "Dirty Jobs" is a fun reality series where Rowe becomes a vocational guinea pig for all things dirty, grimy and messy. The show airs on Discovery Channel Tuesdays at 9Pm Et/Pt. Mike Rowe travels the country to showcase the downright dirty jobs that most people would go out of their way to avoid. From toilet crushers to maple syrup »

She said, "I'm going to be a clown! I'm not going the sexy route, really - it's almost like a jester clown. Tights that are black and white and a tutu and suspenders and funny make-up."
When asked to name her favorite TV shows, the 23-year-old star revealed, "I am obsessed with 'Glee'. Oh my god. Also, I watch Discovery Channel! I love 'Dirty Jobs' and 'Deadliest Catch' - those are my reality shows!" Lauren, moreover, also dished about her future project as she is having her book "L.A. Candy" adapted for big screen flick.

Mike Rowe, host of the Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs (returned last night with new episodes), took some time off from cleaning cloth diapers and sifting through suet to chat with us at the EW offices. He was also kind enough to wipe his shoes before coming in. Beyond being the mud-streaked face of Dirty Jobs, Mike is also an unofficial spokesperson for skilled labor, a former QVC host, and a surprisingly talented singer. We discussed all this and more, aided greatly by questions provided by some of his many ardent fans, so if you want to get the real dirt on Mike, »

This Wednesday, October 7th at 9Pm, will mark the return of (arguably) one of the best programs on television, MythBusters, and in typical MythBuster fashion, they kick it all off with superhuman punching robots, bullets, pneumatic triggers, explosives and… socks?
In the fall premiere, Adam (Savage) and Jamie (Hyneman) take on the classic theory, “If one bullet is fired and the other is dropped simultaneously from the same height, which will hit the ground first?”
Once again, Adam and Jamie attempt to take on a myth that’s so intricate and complex that is has never been attempted before. Until now, that is. With pneumatic triggers, precise measurements and calculating time down to the milliseconds, Adam and Jamie have their hands full with this one - Especially when they have to redesign their “rig” (That’s MythBusters talk… if you don’t know, you just don’t know) in the »

Here's what happened last week, and what to watch for next week: The Past This past week was all about Jon and Kate Plus Eight plus a vagina. The Tlc reality show's ratings dropped and then Tlc dropped Jon from its title, promoting Jon to threaten camera crews with arrest, which led Tlc to shut down production. We also learned how much money Jon and Kate make, and how much The Hills' cast makes, although... keep reading » » read the full story and comment, or find the latest news about past forward

It’s a dirty job, and Mike Rowe’s gotta do it. After over 100 episodes of salt mining and chick sexing (that’s sorting chickens, you degenerate), it’s becoming clear that the dirtiest job of all is probably hosting Dirty Jobs. But whether he’s elbow-deep in the beautiful miracle of equine procreation or wading through 17 different varieties of raw sewage, his self-deprecating wit and the downright earnestness with which he treats these vocations cut through the grime and keep us tuned in to his filthy, filthy shenanigans. All of which will continue with new episodes starting next Tuesday, »

This is Past Forward, a look at last week and the week ahead: The Past Last week started with the host of an upcoming MTV series about drug addiction dying of a drug overdose. A Fox executive promises their just-announced documentary on Nadya Suleman, aka “Octomom”, will show “everything, literally day and night” from her life, including her much-publicized transition from “miracle birth lady” to “tabloid fodder.” The two-hour Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage will air on Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. “It’s incredibly compelling,” Mike Darnell, Fox’s head of reality, told EW.com. “It will feel like you are inside her life.” Executive produced by Craig Piligian (Dirty Jobs), the documentary will be culled together from seven months of previously unseen footage shot by Radar Online. The online company gained unprecedented access to Suleman and her children the day after the birth of the octuplets. The documentary is expected to show her financial struggles and the complications involved in parenting all 14 of her children on her own. “The lived with her,” said Darnell. “They’ve been filming her since day one. Imagine if a former "Top Model" was now living "The Simple Life" by doing "Dirty Jobs." That's how Derek Friday describes his new show, "Mr. Friday," which starts airing tonight on the Fine Living Network. But he insists he's no Paris or Nicole. "I'm a tall black guy," he says.
The life-swapping reality show stars the 6'3" Friday, a former model and socialite, whose trust funds checks are being withheld by his philanthropist mom until he swaps his pampered lifestyle for a day with all kinds of labor force, from circus workers to reptile handlers.
Friday worked with one of the producers of the show briefly before the idea of the reality show came about. "They were like, 'I've never met a guy like Derek Friday,'" he said. "'Let's make a show about him!'" And they did, swapping Friday's spa days for snake feedings like in the show's first episode, »
