Outfest, which stages an annual gay and lesbian film festival in July, is conducting an online vote for the best performances in gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender roles. On Tuesday, Outfest posted a list of nominees for its first Outfest Screen Idol Awards. They included in the actor category: Johnny Depp for Before Night Falls; Robert Downey Jr., Wonder Boys; Dan Futterman, Urbania; and Stuart Wells, Billy Elliot. In the actress category: Ellen DeGeneres, Chloë Sevigny and Vanessa Redgrave for If These Walls Could Talk 2; Julianna Margulies, What's Cooking; and Maria Schrader, Aimee & Jaguar. Winners will be announced on April 20. »
