There is a nude woman lying on a bed.

Opera features scenes of strong and graphic violence:

-A man is stabbed with a knife through the throat and the rest of his body several times

-A woman is shot through the eye in slow motion

-A woman is choked and stabbed with scissors. It is also implied that the killer cut open the woman's stomach to retrieve something she swallowed.

-A man has his eye gouged out by crows.

-A man is stabbed in the stomach with a knife.

A couple of dirty words, but nothing too harsh.

Many of the actors smoke or drink in scenes.

Opera is a very intense movie. The main character is tied up with needles taped under her eyes to make her watch the victims being killed. There is also a scene where she is alone in an apartment with the killer that is very intense.
