| This is a Box Set containing the Hammer Horror classics The Devil Rides Out (1968), _Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1965)_ and Quatermass and the Pit (1967). "The Devil Rides Out" was transferred at 1.66 : 1, "Dracula: Prince of Darkness" at 2.30 : 1 and "Quatermass and the Pit" is full screen. "Dracula: Prince of Darkness" begins in the middle of side 2 after "The Devil Rides Out". Sides 5 and 6 are CAV. "Dracula: Prince of Darkness" is slightly cut, because there was no complete 35mm print available. It was the choice of either going with a pan and scan complete version, or a widescreen version which was very slightly cut. If Encore had taken the BBC's complete pan and scan version, the disc would cost about an extra £ 10.00 because of the cost of re-certifying that version with the BBFC. |
