Arthur (Georges Rivière), is a professor of American philology from the city of Toledo in Ohio (USA), who decide to come to Toledo (Spain) to make a few studies on the Spanish, necessary for his profession. To reach the city, known to "Mary" (Silvia Morgan), a painter who lives in an old house accompanied since she was a child by her butler and guardian "Román" (Jose Isbert). Little by little end up falling in love the two young people.
It's a comedy very simple, the script for which we discover nothing unpredictable, but its value is in the scenarios used for filming, because they are all authentic.. It's a real documentary for anyone who wants to see Toledo in the 1950. What is behind the characters when stroll through the streets is really interesting.
Georges Rivière and Silvia Morgan as players make good performance, and as always our dear Jose Isbert fills the screen with his fantastic performance. I also highlight the good work in the soundtrack by Augusto Algueró.
