Sneak Peeks – The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love

Anyone who's visited this site more than once will have a pretty good idea of what I think about reality television.  Be that as it may, shows like The Bachelor are still ratings hotspots for networks like ABC.  The newest Bachelor will be premiering on January 4th and ABC has released 9 sneak peeks for season 14 of the show.

Women's Hearts Will Soar When Jake Pavelka Gets A Second Chance At Love In "The Bachelor: On The Wings Of Love," When ABC's Hit Romance Reality Series Returns In January 2010

Jake Pavelka is out to prove on the next season of "The Bachelor" that nice guys don't always finish last in love. The handsome commercial pilot from Dallas — and America's most hopeful romantic — will star in his own bid for true love, choosing from among 25 bachelorettes, when "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" premieres on ABC in January 2010. This will be …

Photos – Ugly Betty 4.11 "Back in Her Place"

Obviously I haven't gotten caught up yet on season 4 of Ugly Betty, because I had no idea that Connor has returned.  But he's back and he's cuter than ever, as is evidenced in these promo photos for the January 13th episode.

You can also view photos for the January 6th episode.

Betty Tells Guest Star Fisher Stevens About  Her Worst Week Ever, On ABC's "Ugly Betty"

"Back in Her Place" – A battered but unbowed Betty recounts her worst week Ever to Mr. Z (guest star Fisher Stevens) as the show flashes back to her horrible last few days. However, as her hobby enriches her, her job is nearly killing her, since Wilhemina tortures Betty with beauty experiments for future stories. Meanwhile, …

Photos – Desperate Housewives 6.11 "If…"

A few days ago I posted 4 sneak peeks for the new episode of Desperate Housewives airing on January 3rd (see when your other favorite shows return in 2010) and now ABC has released a few promo photos.  Some of the photos are spoilery, but only in the sense that they reveal potential futures (especially for Angie).  I just watched a screener of this episode today and I can reveal that we will learn more about Angie's past, but there are still many unanswered questions.  Beyond that, I won't spoil you.

What If Life Were Different For The Women Of Wisteria Lane, On ABC's "Desperate Housewives"?

Lost Spoilers! The Unauthorized Edition

Happy holidays, Lost fans!  Lost is due to kick off its final season in 43 days and, as of now, three hours – but who's keeping track?  As we all know, the Lost powers that be are asking ABC to hold off on publicizing Any new imagery or video from the new season.  That's good news for the spoiler-phobes who want to finish out Lost totally spoiler free, but terrible for the Rest of us.  The good news is, the snoops aren't so inclined…

Seems a visitor to the set was able to grab a few frames of rehearsal, and he published them on www.lostlocations.com. What is revealed?  Much!  Here's my expert analysis:

It appears that a stunt coordinator is preparing Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) and Andrew Divoff (Mikhail) for a fight scene.  Hmm. At first glance, it looks like Jin is winning the fight without too much difficulty.  The big question is:  where, …

Alyssa Milano will be making a guest appearance on the January 11th episode of Castle (see when your other favorite shows return in the new year).  ABC has released promo photos and a synopsis for the episode.  View them below.

After, check out the Alyssa Milano Jersey Shore parody.

Alyssa Milano Goes Guido! Jersey Shore Parody

This sh*t just got real, yo.  The comic geniuses at Funny Or Die have produced an awesome little transformation clip talking a perfectly sane and socially graceful Italian, Alyssa Milano, and transforming her into the MTV brand of Jersey Shore Guido.  You may never look at Alyssa Milano quite the same way again.

Alyssa Milano's Evolution: Jersey Shore from Alyssa Milano

Traumatic, I know.  I'll never be able to watch Who's The Boss without thinking of Snookie and that brute violently punching her at the bar while she innocently got wasted and cruised for tight, juiced, rich guys that will never age.

MTV meanwhile continues to bask in the controversy.  Recently 'stars' The Situation and Snookie visited Conan, amongst other media outlets, where they gave him his nickname of 'The Solution' and proceeded to make total asses out of themselves.  Shudder.  What does this say about MTV's self image. …

Heroes Mid-Season Promo – Hide The Villain?

Okay, I'm confused.  I thought this guy named Samuel was the big baddie this season on Heroes.  Remember him?  Robert Knepper played him.  Yeah, so now he is reduced to sharing a floating puzzle piece with the implication that it is really Sylar who is the big bad… again.

As much as we all love Zachary Quinto – it is commonly known that he Does walk on water from time to time – isn't Heroes a bit Sylar'd out at this point?  I mean, it used to be that Sylar was the one aspect of the show that never failed.  Used to be, that is.  Then there was that belly-laugh inducing sequence of Sylar turning into his own mother. Embarrassing.  Followed by this seasons schizo Nathan routine, and all of the continuity flaws that ensued.  Add to the fact that there is now a discernible pattern to the Sylar arc:

A) Begin …

ABC Burning off Scrubs & Better Off Ted Episodes

Scrubs returned at the beginning of December with a new cast, but it looks like ABC won't be spreading out the episodes in 2010. The network had only ordered 13 episodes for the ninth seasons of Scrubs and it looks like two episodes will be airing per night starting January 5th.

The same goes for Better Off Ted, which also had a 13 episode order and will also be airing two episodes per night beginning January 5th.

At this rate, both shows are set to end their current seasons in January.  According to the Futon Critic, here's what we can expect for the schedule of the remaining episodes:

Tuesday, December 22 & 29

9:00/8:00c – "Scrubs"

9:30/8:30c – "Better Off Ted"

Friday, January 1

4:30/3:30c – "The Rose Bowl Game Presented by Citi"

8:30/7:30c – "Better Off Ted" (Special Night)

CBS Chooses to Premiere 'Undercover Boss' after Superbowl

CBS has announced the show that will air in the coveted spot immediately following the Superbowl on Sunday, February 7, and it's not one of their top hit shows like The Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, or even Survivor.  This year they will premiere a brand new reality series called Undercover Boss in the post-Superbowl slot.

It's certainly not the first time a network has put a brand new show on after the Superbowl (Fox did it in 2005 with American Dad's premiere and ABC did it in 1995 with Extreme) but it's far from common practice.  And to utilize the space for a brand new reality series, in a time when reality series seem to come and go faster than the wind does seem a bit odd.  Add to that the fact that this is coming from the network with some of the biggest ratings hits on television, and it almost seems ludicrous. …

Dollhouse 2.10 "The Attic" Recap

Welcome to" The Attic"! Prepare to have your mind frakked…

What could possibly be one of the most complicated episodes of Dollhouse to date in terms of plot twists and technical jargon, "The Attic" delivered… and left me scratching my head. Bad thing? Hell No!!!! Let's get to it!

The Set Up

We pick up right were we left off with Echo being tended to by a female Attic representative, who is injecting tubes and wires into Echo. When the attendant leaves, Echo starts to spasm and flatlines!!!! When the female representative returns with another representative, the two remove the tubes and Saran Wrap from Echo and she awakes and dispatches both of them quickly. She breaks out her room and attacks the first person she sees for info on the whereabouts of Victor and Sierra. The guy tells her that they use real names in the Attic, which for Echo is Caroline Farrell. …

Dollhouse 2.09 "Stop Loss" Recap

The first hour of Fox's final double episodes of Dollhouse was what most fans have been asking for: an Enver Gjokaj/Victor centric episode. But we also got more info on the mythology of the Dollhouse and Rossum, plus my obsession, which is "Epitaph One". And is it just me? Or does anyone else wonders if Fox feels like they shot themselves in the foot by canceling Dollhouse? Because each new episode is kicking ass and taking names… And the next hour, "The Attic", made feel as if My mind had been wiped and printed with a new personality. But I am getting ahead of myself. Let's start with "Stop Loss"…

The Set Up

Ms. Lonely Hearts, aka Adele, is having a final romp with Victor as her suitor Roger. He spoils the mood by saying that he is in love with someone else, which is not a good thing …

Who Won Survivor?

20 December 2009 8:23 PM, PST

Russell connived his way to the final three, but did anybody ever seriously think he was going to win?   When it all came down to Russell, Natalie, and Mick it was clear that Russell wasn't going to get the votes.  C'mon, who would seriously surrender the opportunity to bury Russell for the sake of objectivity?

Russell may have been an excellent manipulator, but there is always the other side of the equation: someday, those who you manipulated against will have their say in your fate.  Tonight, they all spoke loud and clear.

Russell managed only two votes, despite performing well in all of the challenges.  Is anybody surprised by this, though? Regardless of how they perform, it's still going to come down to likability at the end – a facet of the game that Russell invested zero time in building.  Oh well, one thing is for sure:  Russell has cemented himself …

Photos – The Deep End 1.01

20 December 2009 7:06 PM, PST

The Deep End, the new midseason show from ABC, premieres on January 21st.  Normally, I might say something along the lines "oh, no…..not another law show".  But I've fallen in love with The Good Wife, so I'm not as skeptical lately.

Plus, I just took a look at the promo photos for the pilot episode and realized that this show stars Billy Zane.  Billy Zane!  Dude is badass.  I don't know why, I just love him.  And you know that if a walk-off breaks out in the show, Billy Zane will be around to call it.  So things are already looking up.

Oh, and for all you Twilight fans, that chick who got fired from the third movie is making a guest appearance in the pilot episode on January 21st.  Check out the photos below.  I'm hoping to get some video previews for you all soon.
